Frank Williams is a four star per Scout.  :yikes:

he must have had a good nike camp?

only thing it can be is his showing at the paul pierce skills academy.  weird.

You dudes are way more familiar with each rating service and "rater," but isn't it possible that only one person has given this kid a good review and the others are just piggy backing and being lazy about research? :dunno:

no.  if the scouting services want to be lazy, they'll just leave the guy unrated.  and they all have their own scouts.

Sticking with the KC beat, keep an eye on 6-5 shooter Frank Williams this summer. High majors will b watching @ LeBron & with Spiece Mo-Kan

Quote from: eric bossi
Here's five guys I'm predicting break out in July. 1) Joe Harris, 6-5 SG, Chelan (WA) High 2) Frank Williams, 6-5 SG, Raytown (MO) High 3) K.T. Harrell, 6-3 SG, Montgomery Jeff Davis 4) Charles Hankerson, 6-5 SF, Miami Coral Reef 5) Kevin Thomas, 6-8 C/PF, Waco University

the scout rating is 100% bossi.  i doubt telep or daniels have even seen him play.

espn - who the &@#% knows.  do they have any propriatary scouts other than rankin?  do they hire guys to scout tourneys freelance?  i have no idea.

be funny if the espn rating was bossi freelancing.

    Ready for Maize girls!
From ESPN's Day 2 report of the LeBron James Skill Academy:

Quote
Surprise player

Combination forward Tony Mitchell (Grand Prairie, Texas/ Living Faith Christian) has a big-time body and is as strong and physical as any player I watched compete Monday. He is effective from about 12 feet and in offensively. He has good ballhandling skills at 6-foot-7 and can beat most forwards to the rim where he can finish through contact. He attacked the glass on both ends of the floor -- especially offensively. He rebounded over and around opponents for tipins and started fast breaks with his defensive rebounds. Mitchell, a Kansas State commit, was quick to the ball and finished drop-off passes above the rim with ease. His jump shot needs immediate attention to take his game to the next level. He shoots flat footed and has a very low release, but overall Mitchell competed and was an attention getter with his effort, energy and physical play on both ends of the floor. He also has the size and athletic ability to defend both forward positions.

Also, went from a 83 to a 150 Watch List prospect just like that

http://insider.espn.go.com/ncf/recruiting/tracker/player?recruitId=73058&action=login&appRedirect=http%3a%2f%2finsider.espn.go.com%2fncf%2frecruiting%2ftracker%2fplayer%3frecruitId%3d73058

I hope 6Figga and Dalonte400K can work some magic on his mom.

it's a win-win.  if he comes to ksu, that's fine.  if he doesn't, he's the next in the line of jr rider, arenas gilbert, walter payton, etc almost emaws.

as long as he actually turns out good, we can't lose.

Remember this guy:

Stephen Baird.  Random new guy that popped up at Rivals:

LOL at what ESPN says about him:

Quote
He avoids the paint as if it contained an infectious disease.

Says some good stuff too, but that was to lol to not quote.

Update on Frank Williams from Lebron James Skills Academy:

Quote
Frank on fire
Class of 2010 prospect Frank Williams (Raytown, Mo.) is a 6 foot 5 wing who came to the Skills Academy with the reputation as a jump shooter, and he didn't disappoint this afternoon. Williams is a confident shooter with a quick trigger. He is rail thin and must add strength in order to be more effective off the dribble and on the glass. However, knocking down open shots is his specialty. He is athletic and can finish above the rim with ease. On Tuesday, he ran the outside lane spotting up, feed the post and relocated and spaced to the open area on the side to get his shots. His release reminded me of a young Andrew Toney at times. Williams is fun to watch get it going from the outside. If the defender is not close to him on the catch or approaches with his hands down, Williams has the ability to make deep jumpers look like layups.

Also, frank is listed as the #24 SG on Scout, 3 spots ahead of Royce Woolridge...

random stuff

Quote
Frank Williams has offers from Central Michigan, Murray State, Oral Roberts and Wichita State.   Kansas State, Missouri, Marquette, Minnesota, Arkansas and Michigan State will watch him closely. …

Quote
Frank Williams, SG: Been a big end of June/early July for this guy. Like his length and he’s got a release that will give him a chance. His smooth stroke is going to make someone fall hard for him as a shooting specialist. Not bad for a guy whose expectations were to just get a scholarship. “Actually, they projected me as low-major but I didn’t let that affect me,” Williams said. “I just kept working hard.”

Quote
Tony Mitchell made a couple strong plays to note, including a strong hook shot that forced an and-1 attempt. He muscled up in the paint a good bit and really showed his creating abilities on a couple nice passes and shots.

Quote
Coaches Break — front row is Mark Fox, Matta (J-Boals), ‘Ol Roy, Drew, B-Gregory, John Groce and the Brothers Miller (Sean and Arch). Down the other end is Tom Crean, Josh Pastner. Mike Montgomery and Beilein in the house too. Howland, Huggs and Frank Martin, Dwayne Stephens (MSU asst) Rick Stansbury.

Quote
Vaughn Allen ’10, prep school: St. Peter’s, Marist, and Kansas State
Offers: None
Favorite: Kansas State
Dream School: “I’d like to go to Kansas if it’s possible.”
Note- Allen, a graduate of Mt. Vernon (NY) who told me he has "opened back up my recruiting process," said he is definitely going to a prep school, and is considering Notre Dame Prep (MA) and Ocean Shore (NJ).

Quote
Tony Mitchell- The long and bouncy forward has certainly proved that he belongs in this setting. His game is still rough around the edges, but his talent is evident. His physique, athleticism and motor only will carry him along way, but he also possesses a skill set ready to blossom. Mitchell will likely land as a four-star prospect in the post summer Rivals150.

Come back, Tony.

Quote
Tony Mitchell (Miami, Fla./Center of Life Academy) was a bright surprise and is likely to blow up. He was slowed some by an injured back during the spring but his explosiveness around the hoop and ability to step out was eye-opening. He never really went through the recruiting process having made an early verbal to Kansas State but recently opened back up. Arizona State was the only school he knew of that would be out to watch him but that is all changing after his week of play.

Quote
Khyle Marshall (Davie, Fla./Flanagan) said he’s planning visit to Auburn and Butler but that he has 17 offers total and will need to trim his list after the month before setting any more.
