You can't be racist and like basketball.
n e 1 else not sure what to make of these 2010 recruits? neither are listed on any top 100 lists, but both seemed to be wanted by others schools.

dunno, just don't really want to jump into this "OMG! FRANK IS A GOD!" crap the tards keep spewing. gotta keep it realistic, that way i can stay #1.

It's very Roy Williams-esque one year on, one year off recruiting.

Elite classes in odd-numbered years, so-so classes in even numbered years.

Even if they remain three star unranked, it's a good start for what was setting up to be a poor class.  Considering the circumstances: not much PT to offer, not going to be a very exciting year on the court, I think most HBBRIQers were expecting a down year.  Both these guys are already "solid" with a chance to have their stock go up.  Nothing to be all  :dancin: about, but neither recruit should make you  :banghead: either.  Just get one top 100 at this point, and 2010 is a success...even if these 2 guys don't see anyone's top 100.  (I think at least one if not both will get ranked by somebody)

ESPN seems to think Spradling is a pretty good prospect.  The 88 ranking prob'ly puts him in the Top 100-130 range for 2010.

coach on the floor!

not bad. it was 40 a few days ago.

tranny @ 89

http://insider.espn.go.com/ncb/recruiting/tracker/player?recruitId=44082&season=2010&action=login&appRedirect=http%3a%2f%2finsider.espn.go.com%2fncb%2frecruiting%2ftracker%2fplayer%3frecruitId%3d44082%26season%3d2010

40 I think is the standard number for kids they haven't evaluated.  McGruder and Russell are also 89s fwiw.  ESPN also ranks both 10 players in the top 30 of their position.

JFC, may as well say "KSU got a white kid"

Quote
November, 2008: Spradling ai a versatile guard with the toughness and competitiveness to play in the Big 12. He's an excellent ball-handler and decision-maker and really knows how to run a team. In addition to his ability to man the point, he can also slide over to the two spot and be effective there. Spradling is good at coming off screens and knocking down jump shots. At either position he definitely makes you come out and guard him. Spradling will bring toughness and leadership when he arrives at K-State. Will brings all the intangibles to the floor, despite not being a high-level athlete. He dives all over the place for loose balls and is a coach on the floor which (KSU head) Coach (Frank) Martin and his staff will love. What he lacks in athleticism he more than makes up for with his shooting ability and his leadership.

on top of that, the overall quality of the odd-numbered year senior classes has been very good whereas the quality of the even-numbered year senior classes has been completely "meh" (2007, 2009 vs. 2008, 2010).  Rumor has it that 2011 is supposed to be a really good class.  It's just weird.

I'm guessing he also works very hard to make up for his lack of athleticism.

Dammit.  It was leadership instead of hard work.

2010 offer to Khyle Marshall 6'6" SF from Flanagan HS in Florida.

Cannot find him in Rivals. Scout has him listed but vary scarce info.

Here is an article about him.

http://blog.northstarbball.com/2008/08/25/khyle-marshall-wants-to-be-the-best-and-wont-stop-until-he-gets-there.aspx

"Team Breakdown has a trio of well-known ballers in the program in Kenny Boynton '09 of American Heritage (FL), Brandon Knight '10 of Pine Crest (FL), and Pe'Shon Howard '10 of Oak Hill Academy (FL). Khyle Marshall probably had a summer as good as that group, if not better."

Offers from Houston, Rice, St. Bonaventure, Fordham, Old Dominion, Providence, Baylor, Kansas State, UAB, Auburn, South Florida, Tulsa, Bradley, Marshall, UNC-Wilmington, and Butler.

Interest from Georgia Tech, Texas A&M, Miami, Florida State, Florida, Tennessee, Temple, and Virginia Commonwealth.

Rated 12th in Florida by Florida Hoops

Miami Tropics website has him as #3 in Florida, 4 spots ahead of Tony Mitchell!
