How do you all feel about the road basketball uniforms being black or nearly black?

Your program finally gets  a chance for mega exposure, but that really isn't a part of the University's identity.

Wouldn't it be weird to see your football team in black?


I guess it's kinda like Kansas being on national TV but electing to wear red ... that's not really us.

It is completely our identity.  We love black.  Football coach is black.  Frank's wife and kids are black.  Dalonte is black.  Our Pres is like the world leader on negro leagues baseball history.  Obama spent tme in El Dorado...very pro-KSU town.  &@#%, we make Grambling look like Princeton.

I was thinking that someone said Nike only provided the blacks this year and that the purples wouldn't be available until next season.

ku wears white jerseys more than half the time and yet white is not one of their "official" school colors.  KSU Football uniforms have gray in them and yet that is not an "official" school color either.  Bottom line is that occasionally wearing black jerseys looks cool just as gray trim looks cool on the football uniforms.  To rigidly stick with nothing but purple and white all the time would not make much sense.  And we promise not to sue ku for wearing one of our school colors whenever they play a home game.

We will have purples next year.  Nike didn't like the first purples that came back so they're redoing them and we'll have them next year.

I don't like the bordered powercats on the shorts.  Everything else on the uni looks real sleek.  The powercats look like patches.  Should've just been solid white.
