    Sniff Sniff. . . I smell Heisman.

Pretty cool site that compiles all of the mock brackets..
The highest we were projected at and the lowest was 10. The guy that had us at a 6 had this to say.

What about Kansas State, most other bracket projections have them as a 8 or 9. I was wondering why you feel they will be higher.

Thanks!!

Well, I have Kansas State as a 6 so it's not really that far out of whack. The thing is just that once you get out of the #1-5 seeds you really see a huge drop-off this season. Every team has a whole lot of holes. I could see moving Michigan State up ahead of K-State, but other than that I just don't see any other resumes that look better than theirs. Also, I think K-State has a decent shot at making a little bit of a run in the Big 12 Tournament. I would not be at all shocked if they took out Kansas or Texas in the Semifinals. And if they can do that, they probably move up to a #5 seed, and possibly up to a #4 or 3 if they can win the whole Big 12 Tournament.

Also, if you look at my ordering of teams, I would say that every team starting with West Virginia was a bubble team yesterday morning. The fact that Kansas State was not a bubble team surely puts them ahead of teams like Oklahoma and UMass.

Interesting stuff.

A 3-seed would be hilariously awesome.

No team, and I repeat: NO TEAM will ever get a 3 seed with 10+ losses. Hell, it's highly unlikely that one would get one with 7+ losses. The highest KSUck will get is a 6-7, but only if they win the whole Big 12 tourney.

If we won the Big 12 Championship, that we presumably gives us 3 wins over Top 10 teams. Show me any other teams that have done that this year.

EDIT: Texas has, my bad.

If you paid attention to college basketball outside of K-State, you might have realized that Texas has beaten UCLA, Tennessee, and Kansas, but then again, you have incredibly low BBIQ.

OK, point taken. Texas is a top 3 seed in your opinion, correct??

I think Texas will be a 2-seed in the West region unless they win the Big 12 tourney.

Every year I'm surprised how far the committee sways for teams that are deemed 'hot' on selection Sunday.  Sometimes its as if they only look at the past 10 or 12 and not merely put more stock in them.

IF  KSU won the Big12 Tourney, they would be no lower than a 4, IMHO.

If K-State were to win the Big 12 tourney, which would likely mean wins over UT and ku, would you say they are a top 5 seed.

I would.

I could see K-State as a 5-seed if you guys win the Big 12 tourney, but a 3 or 4 seed?  Won't happen.

Disagree.

An 11-seed and an 8-seed >>>>>>>>> a 3 seed and the NIT.
