a job with the power to inconvenience and/or ruin the lives of other humans will obviously attract job applicants with the desire to do that.

might as well wonder why nazi concentration camp guards tended to be somewhat callous.

That's it in a nutshell.  The majority are wannabe marines who can only get there by adopting the haircut and/or power mongering little dicked pricks.  They are at the least as violent and dangerous as their opposition, but with everything working for them.  Inconvenience and/or ruin the lives of others is the reason for living with most of these psychopathic roidheads.

IMO we need people to enforce the laws or else people might not obey them IMO.

Like upholding the law which states police officers of the same sex ONLY can give a strip search?  5 male officers, 2 women, and two males were left alone with her while she was naked (which she was for 24 hours, no blanket, nothing to cover herself so she had to resort to covering herself for warmth and humility with toilet paper.  You mean those people?

That's bordering on the invocation of Godwin's Law.

I saw that but it is still illegal for a man to be there much less multiple men, basically they f'd up and got all of it on tape, and appear to be hiding other footage.  Remember this woman was the victim who called for help, the fact that the cop showed up and was misinformed/confused does not excuse the fact he arrested a victim.  It is his job to figure out what's going, not to attack the first person he sees.

You can't be racist and like basketball.
I think this is more of an example of cops being sh1t human beings than a reason they are sh1t human beings (as the subject was worded).

I know there's dicks in the profession, but you appreciate cops more in places where you feel like you need them (i.e. not Manhattan, KS).

strongly disagree.  the more dangerous the place, the worse the cops, ime.

I agree, mostly because most people they interact with want to kill them.  But I appreciate them more.
