Dude, we're KSU fans.  Knowing our luck, after our 2-0 start over two solid teams, we'll end up 2-14.

That's why it's included as an option.  I note that you didn't actually choose it though ....

I remember when we were dominant in the Big 8.
I was in Manhattan during Hartman, Rolando, Nealy, Henson..........Ahearn!

We may be back.

Best sign our student fan base is back has to be the chickens on the floor.

I think 12-4 is the "optomistic" end and 9-7 is the "pessimistic" end.  Anything outside of this range would really suprise me.  I think there is about a 70% chance we end up with 10 or 11 wins.  20% we end up with 12 or 9.  10% for all other options.  Just my imHo fwiw.

KSU looks like a 13-3 team right now but I think the next 3 games will go a long way in giving us an idea of how they are going to play further down the road.

This is really not doable unless we beat ku once.  I think we almost certainly get a loss @ Mizzou coming off the first ku game.  What would it take to get us up for the roadtrip/daygame that soon after that game?  There is really no way we don't drop at least one other game the rest of the season.  Just imo!

    Fear the Brick
In KSU's first 8 conf games, we go on the road 3 times (OU, CU, MU), in our last 8 we go on the road 5 times (Tech, NU, Baylor, ku, isu) and have to face UT at home on a Monday after a Sat @ Baylor....the last half of the season is brutal and that's usually when freshman hit the wall.  We probably need to go 7-1 in the first 8 to have a shot at anything over 10 wins.  I still think 9-7.

There is a good chance of a let down @ mizzou, but ksu matches up incredibly well with mizzou, they have no big men, and no rebounding. They play up and down, and ksu can play that kind of game. Who is gonna guard Walker/Beas?

I pretty much agree with that.  I was optimistic and picked 11 in the poll.

I really don't think 11 is being really optimistic.  Right now if you look at the rest of the games and you look at how everyone else is playing as of right now, it's hard to find 6 losses.

That is why I said 'looks like right now'.

I see 4-5 losses probably but they've been impressive the first two games.

until we play somebody worth a crap i will maintain the undefeated conf seas intact.

aggies is correct that the mu game will be an interesting game for us, if we weren't so freaking good imo.

I went with 10-6.  We have amazing talent but I can't shake the feeling of disappointment I've seen through Wooly and Asbury.  And I can't forget that blowout by Xavier.  We're going to lose some games we shouldn't, unless the guys prove me wrong.  I've been gradually losing optimism for KSU basketball through Asbury and Wooly, but it completely died the night UMKC ran Wooly out of the gym.  About the only thing that will bring it back is a huge win over ku, hopefully in Bramlage.  And I don't see that happening any time soon.  But, Go Cats.

10-6 is optimistic.  ksu will lose plenty.

btw, little peta shirts on the chickens would be cute this year.  or fur coats.

I went with 10-6, but I am optimistic that this team is getting "it" now.   I also like the fact that offensive structure is getting a lot of open looks and if KSU can continue to shoot the 3 ball well, and Walker continues to hit from out there . . . KSU will be very dangerous because teams will have to extend their defense.

I am also for continuing to push the ball based on the way KSU ran the break against A&M.
