If they could keep their guys away from the Burlington Coat Factory Outlet mall, this game would have been different.

Key difference btw ksu's 3 man front and wvu's: wvu has a really good DT and pretty good DE that take up 2 blockers and allow their lbs to make plays. Really not that complicated. They didnt stunt on the line, just mixed up blitzes and were able to get pressure with 3, 4 guys rushing.

I'm with catzacker.  I'd love to be bitching about how our highly regarded defense wasn't good enough in BCS games after winning several conference championships and playing in national championships.

I would agree with you if Stoops was our HC and Venables was on staff.

IMO, BV is a better recruiter than anyone on our current staff (or previous staffs after he left under Bill).  I'd take him without Stoops being the HC, because if you're implying that OU's success is, in part, because Stoops has a hand in the defense, then you might as well blame Stoops for the defensive collapses in BCS games as well.

No, I'm implying nothing of the sort.   I'm telling you that Bob Stoops is the head coach and the person that has the system in place, not BV.  If you're trying to make BV the head coach simply because he's a good recruiter, that's just one aspect of a good HC.   The rest is his ability to build a system for a successful team, and having a good offense is part of that as well.
