It doesn't count for much now because the KSU program is in the toilet, but ku's win in Manhattan was probably their signature win.  KSU had just won handily in Austin and was riding high.  It's hard to believe after watching the late season performances, but KSU was actually a good team on 10/06/07.  However, ku's domination of them in quarters 2-4 crushed their spirit and began their long slide back into the college football abyss.

Switch Texas and Texas A&M, and Kansas and K-State played virtually the same conference schedule.  For years you people have been claiming that the Big 12 was a big-time football conference.  Now that you're in the bottom and Kansas is at the top, you're trying to convince yourselves that Kansas was simply a product of the schedule.  Forget about the fact that Oklahoma couldn't win in Boulder, or Texas couldn't win in College Station.  Forget about the fact that K-State got torched by Nebraska to the tune of 72 points.  The same Nebraska team that Kansas put 76 on.

Nope.  Kansas shouldn't get any credit for going 11-1, being top 10, and in the Orange Bowl.  I'm sure if K-State were in the same scenario you guys would be extremely disappointed. 

Kansas was better than KSU this year.  We all agree.  This was also ku's greatest season in over 100 years....and they didn't even win the north.

Enjoy what the schedule gave your team.  You really should get off the message boards and go to your team's BCS bowl game.  They don't grow on trees.  Trust me.

Texas A&M has beaten your signature win (Texas) two years in a row.  I'd say they're pretty good.  Aside from that, Kansas played four other bowl teams and beat three of them.  So Kansas was four for five against bowl teams.  We'll see what happens vs. Virginia Tech.
