New voice for today

Greg Sharpe is replacing Jim Rose as the Huskers' radio play-by-play man for today's football game in Lawrence.

Why? Good question.

Everybody in the network booth is extremely tight-lipped over the situation.

Sharpe, the former voice of the K-State Wildcats, found out Thursday that his services were needed. He said he was told Rose wasn't available because of personal reasons. Sharpe didn't know if he'd be here for one game only, or more.

Wow!  This will be interesting.  I lost all respect for Rose after his Josh Freeman meltdown.
