You do know that IOWA is an acronym don't you?  Drinking heavily is the only way to get through a weekend there.  Of course there is always the Bridges of Madison County.

Welch Avenue just to the West of the stadium has a bar called the Dean's List. It was purple invaded two years ago.

Head down there after we win.

The tailgating is so-so because Istate has been so bad for so long....but they have plenty of parking. You'll notice that their stadium is really spread out. The first row is easily 25+ feet from the sideline. Their fans are pretty cool...even after they stomped the crap out of us in '05 I didn't hear much leaving the stadium.

Sunny and a high in the 50's is AWESOME weather for the North tundra. Be sure to pimp Jordy on every down!~

Exactly.  So, drive up friday night, immediately get drunk.  Wake up Saturday morning have plenty of shots for breakfast, take a cab to the game.  During the game, to maintain your drunken state, take a flask into Jack Trice.  Refill during halftime, if possible.  After the game promptly go back to hotel/friends house and keep drinking.  Are ya catching a trend here?  Moral of the story: Iowa sucks more than a cheerleader on prom night.

sounds like a day at the bill minus the cab part.

I went up there for the basketball game and it was a good time.  The student section at the B-Ball game were talkative and moderately clever.  Their bar district has a similar feel as the ville without as many bars.  There is a lot of parking all around, no idea on the price.  There are two main streets that go around the stadiums and a neighborhood to the east (not sure), non campus side which people park at, but I have no idea what the laws are for the streets over there.
