Freeman in Big 12 play:
104-164, 63%, 6.7 per attempt, 1100 yards, 6 TD, 3 INT

Reesing:
56-95, 59%, 6.4 per attempt, 607 yards, 6 TD, 3 INT

You think this is definitive?  So Freeman averages a whopping .3 more yards per attempt while being equal in TDs despite throwing 69 more passes and having Jordy Nelson on his team.  We also run the ball (successfully at that), therefore no need for Reesing to air it up constantly.  But hang your hat on that .3.

And Reesing is 7-0 compared to Freeman's 4-3.  And that's what everyone here told me what mattered in comparing Meier's and Freeman's stats from last year.  But since we're switching Reesing with Meier that logic no longer stands, correct?

Freeman has played a much tougher Big XII schedule so far. Add to it the fact that Reesing has never had to play All-American (lol), Aquib Talib, and apparently Freeman doesn't have near the running game that Reesing has. You're right, wins are what matter. But all we're saying is that yes, we do have the better quarterback, and it's really not even close.

    The "other" KSU
WAKS, I can always rely on you to inject a shot of reality into a thread... ku fans, I remember when this happened to us in 03 and I thought that we could go out and kill everyone - uh, yeah we had a reality check at the fiesta bowl. I was getting ready to throw out the fact that ku's sched is pathetic - but you beat me to it.

Reesing=Hypel (sp?) IMO - puts all the air in the world under the ball and hopes for the best. Freeman throws frozen ropes - get it? Why do you think that Tech qbs and Hypel have done nada in the league? Oh, two other things - I think that it will be interesting to see now that ku is a "top 10" BCS team how they stack up against the other talent in the country. 2nd if ku is all that good, they dont look average against  crappy teams, elite ku is not. Next year will be the benchmark.

Average per attempt matters because Freeman's completion percentage is 4% higher, despite throwing similar length passes.  We all heard "Freeman has a high rate because he only dumps the ball off and throws screens".  Not true.  Just watch the OSU game highlights, he's running all over the place and hitting his receivers in stride.

The reason we LOL'd at comparing stats last year was because they were true freshman, and crap happens back then.  Everyone in the country knew Freeman would eventually be the better quarterback, but most of you thought his limitless potential was bogus, saying he'd be a great tight end.  It's nice for that potential to kick in pretty early, as Freeman appears to be well on his way to becoming the next JaMarcus Russell.

K-State fans desperately seeking for moral victories any way they can find them.
Sounds familiar, doesn't it?

After all, our 3 losses came down to the last few minutes of each game.

Much better Big 12 schedule?   You've played Texas, but we played you who beat Texas and won.  KSU>UT.  ku beat KSU at BSFS.  We won at Colorado where OU lost.  You got CU at BSFS.  CU in Boulder>CU in Manhattan.  OSU is no defensive jugernaut (ask Tech or Troy), and since we're camparing QBs that's what matters.  Baylor's D certainly sucks as well, but it's no worse than OSU's.   To be fair, Freeman did have to go against ku's D and Reesing doesn't have to.

Reesing wins games. Freeman worries about how good he looks.  You all seem happy with Freeman (4-3).  That's good.  We're very happy with Reesing (7-0).  Looks like both teams got what they need.  Everyone should be happy!!!!!

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

I told you how I disagree, now give me your insight.  Now remember, we're talking about our respective QB's here, so let's concentrate on the defenses both have faced.  You all did have to play ku and we don't, beyond that I'd say it's even.

The discussion was about Big 12 games.  But I can see why you had to change the parameters.

I wouldn't take anyone on K State's roster.

That team has no heart and their skills are suspect.

Maybe Jordy Nelson, he could be my number 3 or 4 WR...

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.
