It isn't in the grand scheme of things. I am ficusing solely on guys like Dax that took to the Mount and tried to claim the moral high ground. Just kind of funny to see you guys get a little back. Same thing happened to us after railing on MU over the Clemmons fiasco.
LOL
I railed on ku for many reasons, but my personal moral high ground wasn't the primary reason you dumbass. It's the moral high ground squawkville always took on everything.
Like taking Roy's proclamations (in the 3rd person no less) about what a clean program he ran. While anyone with a clue and the ability to read knew that Roy and ku consistantly played fast and loose with the NCAA rules. But hey, no representatives from ku ever contacted Lester Earl while he was at LSU (one example). . . believe that and we've got a nice bridge for sale. NCAA Rules 101 tells you that you can
NEVER say its okay for boosters to send gifts to NCAA athletes whether their playing days are over or not, and for Roy to say he didn't know and didn't even bother to check (probably because ku didn't even have a compliance officer on staff . . . oh wait he did check, no the so called compliance officer said he didnt, kind of like the one assistant football coach said Mangino knew, and Mangino said he didn't know) is a joke, and only begs the question what the hell else was going on. I guess Roy must have cheated on that NCAA compliance test like Mangino did.
I rail on ku for taking two years to investigate the last set of issues . . . likely an NCAA record in of itself. It all took place under the nose of 3 AD's no less. Then in the football program ku tries to toss former GA's under the bus, promotes a coach that was heavily involved, and actually got the NCAA to believe Mark Mangino didn't know while bragging what a taskmaster and control freak Mangino is out of the other side of his mouth. I could almost believe that if this was all taking place at someones house or in a dorm room, or on the computers in the library . . . but right there in the football offices, please.
Then too top it all off, Lew Perkins actually handed down harsher internal sanctions on the women's basketball program than he did the football (academic fraud) program and men's basketball program (cash gifts and booster money). Only to have the NCAA pretty much clear the women's basketball program. All that to make ku look tough on rules violations.
Lest of course we not forget . . . LACK OF INSTITUTIONAL CONTROL.
It's not my moral high ground . . . it's the high horse most ku folks attempt to ride on (poorly).
