I don't think he is bad mouthing him.  I think the game passed Snyder by, it happens.  Prince is doing a good job.  He still has a lot to learn as well though.  We need to see how we handle the season from here.

BS went down hill when he ran out of Assistant Coaches.  The Assistants that were on his staff when he retired we good guys by horrible recruiters.  I don't think the game passed him by.   :poundon:

1988 ... K-State deemed the worst program in D-1 by Sports Illustrated.  Snyder takes over a team that had not won in 27 straight games

1998 ..... Snyder has Ksu ranked #1 in the country, wins 19 straight games and comes with inches of taking us to a nat'l title game

No comparison!!  Prince has done a fine fine job, but coach of the decade he isn't

Turn around was the greatest in college football history.  Let's not forget that.  Snyder did something unthinkable.

That said, Prince is bringing this program up to a serious contender from two 4 win seasons with his golden boy and two great running backs leading the way.

The Whiteys- Jordy, Watts, Campbell- are all gone next year and Prince will have to start creating more role players, but given his success thus far in bringing in top-tier talent at the two biggest positions on O (qb/rb) I think this will go well assuming another improved season.

Seriously,  8 wins in two years to a 7 win season and then another 7+ (looks like it) season is FANTASTIC coaching.  The two top-10 wins (ONE ON THE ROAD!) is just unbelievable.  Nobody does that (except Auburn, holy sh1t look at their record vs. top 5 under Tubberville!!).

Dude, your 20th century mentality is pathetic.

Texas is our new rival, ku/MU are old rivals.  It's like new and old Europe.

ku and MU will be business-like wins over just another North pretender.  Nebraska and Texas are who we aspire to dominate.

yesterday shows that Special teams is what can level the playing field against teams that are bigger and stronger (we looked as fast as them) .

When you can play great defense and make tackles that only betters your odds.

That's why Auburn stays in games and gets those wins.

I think you misunderstand me.   In my opinion, for the program to be where we want it, beating MU and ku has to become an afterthought...along with beating rivals like TU.

One of the things at which Synder teams excelled was beating the teams they were supposed to beat. Look at our record against ISU, MU, OS and the Hoax during his years. There were no slip ups. In fact, the Cats generally pounded the stuffing out of them. As the upsets yesterday proved, that in itself is quite an accomplishment.
Prince has yet to prove his teams can develope that seasonlong focus.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

KSU under Prince just has to be more consistent.  You can't follow up a win against a top 5/10 team like Texas and fall flat on your face against morally ranked ku team.

QFT. I am sure that will be the mantra this week at practice. The UT win will only be as good as the next game. Must win.

You are such an ass.

If we lose to ku it will be disappointing, but the Texas win doesn't get taken away from us.  Its not like it never happened.  Stop looking through the Snyder prism of beat the bad ones, protect your home field and lose to the good ones on the road.  Under Prince all the old Snyder paradigms are out the door.  Prince is high-risk and high-reward.  Snyder teams were never, ever this loose against top competition.  Prince has already played/scheduled as many toughies in the non-con as Snyder did in his whole tenure.  If you can't enjoy the greatest KSU road win in history for at least 24 hours without finding something to bitch about then I don't know what to tell you.

I'm concerned about ku too, but Jesus tits!   Enjoy the win!

    The "other" KSU
Just a few quick hitters and then I have to go build a bunk bed...

The Snyder train began to derail when Bielema left... Bobby Elliott ran that defense into the ground.

With HIS system - Prince has done more in less time than Snyder... is Prince a better coach - in some ways YES, overall that remains to be seen. Mute point until we see where we can go with this team. Remember the top of the mountain with Snyder was the Big 12 Ch game - nada mas.

And lastly with that segway - would ANYONE trade our two UT wins over that OU win in '03? Honestly, for some reason - I felt like we were going to win all along against UT.

Kat Kid... I love the passion - WE NEED TO GET AND STAY RABID!!!

Snyder is a god!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Treat him with the reverence he deserves.  Prince has many years to elevate himself to diety status.  I am gaining appreciation each game for his ability to have the team ready to play and with the fire needed to bring home the wins!!!!!!!!!!!!!  This year against ku is so different from last year.  Prince will have the team ready and Freeman won't make the freshmen mistakes.  ku can dream all they want this coming week but next saturday they will get their ass handed to them!!!!!!!!!!!  I predict a 30 pt victory.  The hoax will crawl back to their KC burbs and await their next ass whipping which is going to become so boring as the years roll by. :ksu: :ksu: :beerchug:

WTF are you talking about?  I am enjoying the win.  I mean, what did I say that was inaccurate?  Part of "consistently competing for championships" is consistency.  This UT win was f'ing fantastic, but should we lose to ku this week it won't mean we never beat UT, it'll just mean we haven't/aren't yet consistent.

No it won't.  Last I checked if we lose to ku we don't have to retroactively forfeit our beatdown of Texas.

If we beat ku we can build a better season, but the ku game should have nothing at all to do with the Texas game.  I don't want the team to have a let down, I don't want to lose but we beat a top 10 team.  Callahan hasn't done that, Mangino?  Gundy?  Pinkel?  This is a big deal and its importance should not hinge on the outcome of the ku game.

I want a Big 12 North title, I want a 10 win season, I want all of that sh1t.  But let's not forget so quickly how big a deal the Texas win is now and in the future.  Prince has two top 10 wins in two years!!  Consistency etc. is insane to bring up.  Prince has turned around a program from two straight 4 win seasons to a 7 win season and now we look like we will improve upon that.  What does Prince have to do to impress people?  A better Touchdown stomp?
