Psst, you may not be familiar with how these polls work so let me help you, there is no 33 or 30.  You got votes, thats it.

umm news flash, Texas isnt your rival. I know you guys really want it but theres this 100 year thing going on between OU and UT. KSUCK is irrelevant to Texas fans

I'm just curious how little of a life you have that you come to another teams board to try and trash talk about a sport that your team sucks at. I'm sure if I met you in person you would cower down like a little puppy with its tail between its legs. If this is the most excitement you get, you might just wanna end your life now and do yourself a favor.

I'm also curious, when was the last time you got any?

You people piss me off

If you want to see a real rivalry, look at ku and Texas basketball.  Those games last season were incredible, and both had Big 12 Championships on the line.  K-State's win over Texas last season was an upset win over the worst Texas team in the last five years.

BTW, did anyone see where Auburn was ranked?

LOL. Do Texas fans even know they field a MBB team?

Texas, doesn't even care about basketball, yet they are right there with ku. LOL.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Texas has a very good basketball team.  Kevin Durant was the best freshman to ever play college basketball.  What the hell do their fans have to do with anything?

LOL at ku fans thinking basketball is relevant in Texas.  It is football first, second and third.....basketball games are just a chance for the football recruits who are visiting to have something to do.

Texas fans know that KSU is one of only 2 teams in the Big 12 with winning records against them.  They have been talking about this game down here for quite awhile...they are worried and they want revenge.  It is not a par with the OU game but trust me they care much more about how they do against the Cats than against the "cartoon birds" (actual quote from UT fan).

Rivalries are made by fan interest.

UT fans could care less about basketball. Hell, mangino's embarrassing meltdown after getting his ass kicked to UT in 2004 made a larger ripple among the UT fan base than any basketball game you guys have had with them.

Right... so I guess you didn't watch the Big 12 Championship in '05 when ku beat Texas in Dallas?

I have zero clue what you are talking about. And I'm guessing most horn fans don't either.

I didn't see Auburn in the list of teams receiving votes.  I think their embarrassing performance against South Florida and Mississippi St. (LOL) kept them from receiving votes.

And the awful performance against KSU didn't help things, either.

You have zero clue because K-State has never competed for a Big 12 Championship in basketball.  The ku and Texas rivalry in basketball has drawn national attention, and the first ever College Gameday was ku vs. Texas.  BTW, the ku/Texas game in Dallas in the Big 12 Championship was filled with Texas fans.

K-State was just an average team that upset the worst Texas teams in the last five years.  You might keep it close again this year against another down Texas team.

Wrong.  KSU has a winning record against 2 teams in the Big 12.  Iowa State and Baylor.

KSU has 4 wins and 5 losses against Texas.
KSU has 35 wins, 55 losses and 5 ties against ku.

KSU fans...lol

I was at the Big 12 tournament in OKC (which is of equal distance to Lawrence and Austin)

The place was filled with Jayhawks. I think Missouri brought more than Texas. And it's not like UT had a team that had one of the greatest players of all-time or anything....

Gameday? LOL. KSU-ku is gameday this year. I really could care less about that game.

The last minute loss to Vince Young's Texas team that won the Rose Bowl in '05 was more impressive than that fluke of a win against the worst Texas team in the last five years.

qft. UT was 6th heading into the ku game in 2004. #3/4 last year vs KSU.

There's a reason fans of schools that have both awesome football teams and awesome basketball teams overwhelmingly support football more.  Look at Florida, Texas, Ohio State.  Basketball is just a past time until football season comes around again.  Like baseball, except more entertaining.  If ku had a football team worth a damn in your lifetime, you'd see this.

Don't bring weak basketball smack into a football discussion.  Kthx.

On the topic of comparing UT/ku 04 and UT/K-state 06, LOL.  Nevermind the #4 ranking vs the #6 ranking, comparing wins to losses?  Really?
