Just saying, if I was McDonald I'd want to take a visit, might as well see what all the hoopla is about.  LOL @ not.

At least go and get your bowl on.
Great point, let's throw in a panty raid too!

ku's still recruiting (Rivals rankings):

#1 Greg Monroe

#12 Willie Warren

#23 J'Mison Morgan

#37 Marcus Morris

#40 Mookie Jones

#54 Augustus Gilchrist

#57 Wesley Witherspoon

#72 Travis Releford (committed)

#74 Markeiff Morris

#79 Kevin Jones

NR Mario Little

Meanwhile, K-State has nothing to show for it's '08 recruiting class.

LOL @ ku fan pretending not to be concerned  :flush:

Concerned? Haw, haw! Allow me to explain --

The day the ku basketball program loses 31 straight games to our in-state 'rival'; goes 19 years without winning a single NCAA Tournament game (while watching our in-state 'rival' win a national championship and go to three Elite Eights and four Final Fours during the same time frame); goes 11 straight years without receiving an invitation to the NCAA Tournament; goes seven straight years of not even being wanted by the NIT; goes 30 years without winning a conference title (while our in-state 'rivals' win 14 in the same time frame); never win a post-season tournament title (while our in-state 'rivals' win five in 11 years); AND watch a coach leave our cheese in the wind after being here for only one year - then we'll be concerned.

No, make that suicidally despondent.

Our incredibly successful lives and rugged good looks.

In other words, we don't need a basketball team to win to feel important.

Can anyone who calls themselves a Kansas State fan (under the age of 20) even claim to remember what participating in "the dance" is even like?

I guess that's the residue of when you embarrass yourselves in the non-conference, conference and post-season tournament portion of your schedules numerous times - like say 11 straight times.

We've sucked for the past 20 years...what's ku's excuse for having a terrible recruiting class (possibly it's second subpar recruiting class in a row).

Are there any KSU fans (under the age of 30) who can remember their team doing something that mattered in "the dance"?

I guess that's all that (not 'the') matters while you can't win a single game numerous times (1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007) in March.

(Unless you want to lobby for including first round wins on your home floor in the NIT.)

Attention, ku fans!  Every time Self loses his toupee at a basketball game, you can get a free order of Supreme Nacho's!  Ask for it at the concession stand!

If this is true, it might be a good thing. He's only in college for 1 year. What is he, a pf? If we get Morgan, we'll be good there anyway. Aldrich, Morgan and Q. Thomas? That would be a great front court that would stick together for 2-3 years. If not, maybe the big Morris twins and Cole. That would be a very good frontcourt with Releford, Collins and Reed in the backcourt. Not a bad team for teams' sake. That's a group that will be around for more than 1 year together. (I think Sherron would have to stay until his jr year....maybe not. It's not like he has more growing to do. He might be maxed out as far as athletic ability).

This sucks on the surface, but I think you'll see long range benefits.
As much as I love guys like Darrell & Julian (& what Monroe seems to be), I really think I'd rather have 3-4yr players rather than 1yr players.

I wonder if every ku fan roots for ku to lose at everything, because in the long run its the only way they are ever going to be sucessful.

Prediction - they'll get the Morris twins and Morgan along with Quintrell Thomas, Tyshawn Taylor and some nobody Jucos.

Unfortunately... that won't be a horrible class.

ku had to recruit out of its comfort zone this year because pipelines such as Chicago, Texas, and Oklahoma don't have as many top prospects in the '08 recruiting class.  Losing out on Terrance Henry before he even visits hurts, but a commitment from Quintrell Thomas could help ease the pain.

I've had respect for K-State's football team all season.  I thought your team would win at Auburn and I thought you'd have a good chance to win at Texas.  I still think ku matches up real well with K-State, and last season's performance still keeps me confident about ku's chances.  I'm just glad that the game finally means something and ku and K-State can both say they've got a shot to win the North.
