Well the update didn't say anything special.  I'd be surprised if Little visited Illinois at this point, though.

It sounds like Little's coach still expect him to visit Illinois.  I doubt he'll make a decision any time within the next couple of weeks.

...  How do you explain what he did at Tulsa with average talent?  This should be good.

lol

How do you explain what he did against Bucknell, Bradley, ORU, and DePaul with superior talent?  This should be good.

Your a frackfing idiot.  Have you never watched college basketball? Upsets happen, dumbcrap. When's the last time someone went undefeated in a season? Every season, teams with far more talent lost to teams with far less. Bill Self isn't the only coach losing to teams with far inferior talent levels.

You guys really don't know what you're talking about.

EDIT: These censors are really gay.

lol at how bad ku's recruiting is going.
"these are no longer “games” in the commonly accepted sense of the term. these are free throw shooting contests leavened by the occasional sprint to the other end of the floor."

Stop it. You don't know what you're talking about. Every year coaches make late visits to recruits they wouldn't have given the time of day to in past years.

You can't be racist and like basketball.
Just wanted to stop by and drop some lol's at Little going from "cancelling his KSU visit" to KSU and ku being equal in about a week.

Quote
Little said last weekend’s visit to KSU was enjoyable, just like his time spent at ku.

“Both were real good visits. I liked the players at both schools,” he said. “I can’t really say,” he added, asked which Sunflower State school was his favorite.

What else is he going to say?

His commments about K-State certainly haven't been as glowing as his comments after his ku visit.

He could say, "I really enjoyed my trip to K-State and I like those guys a lot, but ku is definitely the favorite at this point."

...but he didn't, and that was to a Lawrence newspaper.

I don't know... that would be pretty harsh to practically eliminate a school right after visiting with them the previous week.

You seem pretty bent out of shape by my post.  Could it be that Self chokes (has choked) more often against inferior teams- especially at the most inopportune times (NCAA tourney)?  Also, please be sure to include more name calling in your reply.  That will surely to galvanize your point.

How is that harsh at all?  Some people were claiming he eliminated us prior to visiting.  At least this way he would have given us the courtesy of a visit.  Besides, he could of even said "ku has a slight lead"  the reporter was fishing for it, and Mario didn't commit to a favorite.

Perhaps he's just sensitive to others feeling...or maybe he was blown away by his first high major D1 visit to ku, but then after his second visit to K-State, he realized that they roll out the red carpet and kiss your ass at all these things.

Obviously from a basketball history and proven current team standpoint, ku would be his pick.  However, that isn't a new development and he decided to visit K-State anyway.  There is some other criteria that KSU must be meeting that is keeping them in the hunt.

It feels weird to be discussing a Wooly like recruit with a ku fan...

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this out.  FranK Martin and K-State were one of the first schools to contact Mario Little and offer him a scholarship.  ku came into the picture a bit late, but the tradition as well as the Chicago connection has put us in a good position to overcome K-State's first mover advantage.

Reading between the lines, it sounds like Little was blown away by his visit to ku, while his relationship with K-State's coaching staff is keeping them in the hunt.

Frank Martin and his staff are excellent talent evaluators, and Bill Self is getting his ass kicked on the recruiting trail.

Translation:  Rusty is pissed that ku has been able to make up a lot of ground on K-State's top targets in only a short time period.

Meanwhile, Bill Self is putting ku in a position to land another solid recruiting class to a team that is preseason top 5.

That's a good start.

When did KSU start recruiting him, and when did ku start recruiting him?  KSU was there first, because they're better at evaluating talent, but ku didn't come in much later.

I didn't realize that K-State's coaching staff had a monopoly on identifying talent.  I thought all coaching staffs did that.  Guess I was wrong.
