In my opinion, Josh Freeman has been handled way too much like a finely groomed and fancy show dog for us to expect him to fight like a pit bull.*
Yep, that conditioning test was made easy for him. And, of course, Prince didn't release the PUP list when he was on it. And you won't believe this, Prince actually lit in to JF pretty hard after the first int last night. But you're right he's handle like a finely groomed dhow dog. Which explains why after Aleana almost got him decapitated last week, Prince said all in alll Aleana had a good first game. And you probably call yourself a Cat fan!
I'm sorry if my opinion bothers you. A 2 to 1 INT to TD ratio bothers me. The fact that we have built our team around a player responsible for a 2 to 1 INT to TD ratio kind of bothers me a little as well. But hey, we beat Texas last year and almost beat Auburn a couple weeks ago, so I guess it's all good.
In terms of Prince and the pup list situation, give me a fracking break! That was the most token discipline of a player that I have ever seen! "Oops Joshy, you're on my no-no listy thing." Alasena DID play a good game. He had a few breakdowns at the end of the game that cost us dearly, but overall you have to say he played well for his first D1 game in front of 87,000 fans. (87,000 fans that Josh decided to antagonize by telling them to get louder, therefore making his offensive linemen's jobs considerably harder. How smart is that?)
Pardon me if I expect more from a player as physically talented as Josh. It's time for him to play the part, not just look the part.
