    It's a nlellephant...
I was at the game in Lawrence...from stats and the little I listened to on the radio, he threw it a ton.

1-10 what do you give him?

Thanks.

Great game.  You guys had them beat, sounded to me the o-line got tired.

I think the Defense was really tired by the end, they were great until the last couple minutes.

I'd give Josh a 7, played well.  The turnovers weren't totally his fault.  INT at the end of the half was just a hailmary.  The fumble he was crushed on(still got to hold on to the ball.) The 2nd INT the game was over anyway.

Would have liked a TD to 2, and made a couple bad thows.

I'd say 8.  Both interceptions were desperation throws in the final seconds and were meaningless.  The fumble was Alesana's fault.  He played the gameplan perfectly.  He needs to learn to slide.  That hurt me just having to watch it.  Other than the slide he did exactly what he was supposed to and made no terrible decisions.

I'm downgrading him half a point for a LOL worthy slide attempt.

How would you rank a guy who went 20-29 with 260 yards and 4 TD's?

Freekin good.  I give him a 9.  How purple is the bruise on his back in the shape of Groves' facemask this morning?

Against Auburn   I would give him a 10.  I would give him a 3 if he did it against a crappy MAC team with a new coach though.

8.5

I had him as a 10, but the fumble coupled with the fact that Auburn dropped 2 INTs shortly before the fumble moves him down.
Once you get past the ethics, the rest is easy.

Well, it was a 10 performance against Texas.

Thanks for reminding us of that.

I'll be honest...I did think Central Michigan was a LOT better than that. As for rating Freeman's game... I'd give him a 7 or an 8.

Solid, but you gotta expect that vs. Central Michigan.  Freeman would have went 40-50 with 400 yards and 5 TD's vs. a defense like them.

I expected a "Freeman vs. ku or Rutgers" type of performance yesterday, and came away very surprised.

8  Did everything right except get it to the endzone.  I still think Jordy should have scored on that first drive, not a great effort by him.

A better effort by the refs...that's 4 points right there.  We could have ran the clock out at the end.

Huh?  Not a great effort by Jordy?  Dude, he was money all night long.  Even threw the TD pass.

I'd give Freeman an 8 based on the fact that your o-line is horrible once again.

I gotta say that I thought Jordy should have scored there too, he's gotta beat that guy one-on-one.  But other than that Jordy was money.

o-line wasn't that bad, pretty good for the 1st game and considering who they were up against....not that I'd expect you to realize that.

I would say 7.5

Both of his INTs were late in the halves when he was just forcing the ball just to try to get into scoring position.  On the other 55 throws, he only made a couple of poor decisions, but none resulted in picks.

He did a nice job of moving outside the pocket, especially in the first half.  He did not throw the ball downfield much but obviously the gameplan was to throw the short crossing routes.

I'd say the O-Line was the biggest surprise of the night.  Granted we didn't run the ball very well (we didn't really try all that much), but up until the last series of the game he had all the time to throw that he needed.

I'd give Freeman a 7.  He seemed to go through his progression very well, but he still tends to stare down receivers at times.  I was extremely happy with how he, and the O-Line played.  Especially in the first game of the year in that type of atmosphere.  I hate moral victories, but we may just go to a bowl game again this year.

Freeman had a good game but then he got injured and probably should have been replaced with Coffman.  You can't tell from TV what D Auburn was using in the 2nd. It was hard to muster a drive.
