madden just said he is a play maker.

loves him.

though he doesnt know why he wasnt cut because of his size...

would have probably not have let him on his field if he (madden) was coach.

Another 7 yard catch, he's looking good and getting talked up.  Still won't do much this season but run returns.

Sproles should demand a trade. With Tomlinson & Turner as the #1 & #2 RB's, it's really hard to get PT at RB.

Darren had one of the better performances of the game and didn't even get mentioned on Sportscenter!

They only mention the starters and how they did on the one drive they played.  Sproles has little playing time potential so they won't hype a guy people won't see most of the season.  He had a great game, though.

It's still BS that the most productive player of the game didn't even get a blurb.

He showed what he could do in the open field with some big gains, but IMO Sproles also did well running between the tackles.  He was getting ~3 yards on plays without much of a hole there.  From what I remember last time I watched him (previous preseasons), he got stoned for no gain or a loss on similar plays.  Sproles also did a solid job handling kicks and punts, which is probably going to be his primary role there.  The way he played, he might earn some more PT on long yardage situations.

It was good to see this kind of performance from him, b/c I had read some SD newspaper people guessing that he might get cut this year.

His official stats:

7 carries
63 yards
9 yards/carry

4 catches
36 yards
9 yards/catch

1 Kick Return
22 yards

1 Punt Return
13 yards

So that's 13 touches for 134 yards (10.3 yards/touch). Just get him the damn ball HCNT!!!!!

    The very best.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.
