OK.
My wife is a huge BB fan. She likes it so much that she adopts some of their "food themes" from the house for this house. When the PB&J thing went on, that wasn't a big deal because I love PB&J. She's even tried to get us to follow the diet when her favorite players lost their food competition.
This year, it was the "slop" which is actually a high protein based oatmeal by Bill Pearl, a five time Mr. Universe body-builder and also a vegetarian.
How do I know this?
Because she ordered a tub of the stuff.Any of you who have done bodybuilding and weight training (as I have in my younger years) know that high protein low carb diets have a tendency to suck when it comes to eating the cereals. I love oatmeal in it's traditional form and using honey or a sugar sweetener, raisins and/or milk, can make a very healthy meal.
So she gave me a bowl of it, and didn't quite mix it properly (a little thick) and the first thing that came to mind was wet cardboard milling dust. I have used about every protein mix and supplement the world has ever produced and every one is horrible to ingest if you don't mix it properly or have some kind of additional flavoring. However, this one is a little different. After getting past the initial taste, it's actually not too bad.. until it's time to pass it through. To say that my colon did not expect it is an understatement. You get used to that kind of stuff after awhile, and i would recommend it if you're trying to find a way to lose weight and have something that is good for you.
The thing is, being a vegetarian mix, it has a pretty good dose of protein and I actually felt good the last couple of days. This would be good for Kat Kid and his humanity hating passion.
Funny how things work out. Anyway, I think it's about $40.00 for a tub of the stuff (includes shipping) and makes about 500, 2 OZ servings. We may order more.
