I’m kind of laughing that everyone is caught up on the word “nil”. I mean it’s semantics, really. If Jeff had said “I give them a 15%” chance of winning that game, people would be arguing over whether it’s really 25 or 30%.
And not to rehash it because there’s already a thread about it, but Jeff’s articles probably come off as having something against Prince because Prince doesn’t want to comment on anything, so of course the story will appear one sided, because, well, it is. But because Prince won’t comment on something doesn’t meant the story shouldn’t be written. If you want to say that when Jeff writes those stories he’s kind of “bullying” Prince then I’d agree, but I don’t really see anything wrong about it because it isn’t like he’s writing inaccurate accounts.
This state has fairly terrible beat writers, no matter the school. Jansen comes up with something decent like once a year. Richman is basically a dead person with a computer, Bisel just follows the crowd. Hell, for ku they had NCAA violations and their beat reports, from Plumlee to King, didn’t really bother to do anything but get the company line from Perkins. So Jeff gets some news/comments/quotes from some players and all of a sudden he’s out to get Prince? And now that he says what nearly every sane sports writer would say in regards to Texas vs. KSU, and he has issues with Prince?
