You can't be racist and like basketball.
All the freaking shooting info you could want from a game!  Look for one of these for every Big XII game of the 07-08 season.

Check out how horrible KSU's jump shooting was against Xavier!

Holy crap!

Efficiency Box Scores with +/- data coming this week!

Stay tuned!

Also, if you have a specific game that you would like an shooting box done for, let me know!

Statmaster: please don't do all this work only to tell us that in the games we shot like crap we sucked, and in the games we shot good we won.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

I guarantee we won games we shot badly in.

And this is just a step to getting more, better, individual stats.

Patience!

Rusty,

When will you be releasing your player power rankings?

Ouch. 1 for 17 on 2 pt jumpshots and then 4 for 15 on 3balls????

Pretty hard to win going 5 for 32 in those 2 categories  :ohno:

The best part about the shooting box score is you can compare KSU's shooting to someone else.  All the other views were just KSU, and made it hard to judge how good/poor we were as a team.

The Xavier game?  You picked Bill's worst game(by far) as the example?

Great work, Rusty.  I think you'll be able uncover some pretty cool stuff as the database gets put together.  I didn't see explanations for the EJ%, EFG%, or the TS%....where are these from?  What do they mean?  Sorry if you have described this before, I just missed it.  Thanks again for all the time and effort you're putting into this.

EJ represents a combination of 2-pt and 3-pt jump shots.  Each 3-pt made counts as 1.5 2-pt made, and that total is divided by the total attempts.

EFG is a similar concept, but applied to all field goals, including jumpshots and layups/tips/dunks.

TS is a total scoring percentage, after free throws are added to the mix.

Uh, thanks kono.

I'll post detailed explanations soon.  I think my efficiency box is about ready, too.
