OOO and if you are a hawk or other team fan you have to choose a different team from your own team.

Texas A&M.

And I actually like Nebraska...but their fans are, well, like that dog you have to keep chasing out of the yard.

I think we all look at Baylor and Iowa State as the harmless "good guys" opponents.

I HATE Texas, Mizzou, and CU.  ku can be tolerable but don't particularly like them.

I feel Mizzou is also one of the harmless opponents in overall sports.

I probably shouldn't have, but I laughed my ass off when I read this.  :loly:

I would have to go with Kansas I guess. I liked Texas a lot, but lately they've been getting more and more arrogant.

I don't really hate any team, but I do hate it when Colorado's fans throw crap at other teams and fans during games.  :curse:

    The very best.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

fratSpeak("bad");  //returns "pwnsauce?"  OMG WTF?

Texas.  They don't suck, but we still own them.  KSU/UT football games are always interesting.

OU, very well coached, and not averse to taking risks.  Love the aggressive defense and the B&D special teams.

Tough call.

It's really a list of "who do you hate less?"

To which I'd have to respond with the typical answer, the clones and the baptists.  But..Since we're being original..I'll go with the longhorns.  I don't think they've ever really screwed us out of anything significant..They usually have good teams..and we usually beat them.  We'll be on TV most of the time when we're playing/beating them too, so it helps with terms of exposure for us and emberassment for them.  And their teams are actually fun to watch..Vince Young and Kevin Durant come to mind.  They're even more fun to beat.

I consider fan representation and past screwings of us essential to the "like/hate" factor.  Therefore ku, CU, MU, NU, OU, and A&M are automatically eliminated.

You could make the case that we would have been a BCS at-large team in 2002 had we not lost that close game to them.  Granted, Colorado would have still won the north by virtue of a 7-1 tie-breaker, but that would have given KSU an 11-1 record going into the bowl game, and probably a lock for the BCS considering how close we were to getting it even with the loss.  We may have been ranked in the top four and automatically qualified due to the "K-State Rule" created after 1998.

As far as the teams I hate the least in the Big 12, it would be ISU and OSU.  Boggan's head butt does not factor into anything in terms of a real rivalry or hatred.  Had their coach done it, then that would be different.   :P

ISU.  It's like picking on a crippled kid.  And they have a good attitude about it.  I remember in 2002 0r 2003 thier mascot getting crotch rammed into the goal posts and then waving goodbye to the crowd with his little sports bag.  What other mascot would be that cool?

ISU sucks. Check out this fun post from the cyclone at gopowerclone.com site over at rivals

This is what I vision that is going to happen to Iowa St football...
The fact that the AD of the school has pooled in a HUGE amount of money for Chizik and his seconday coaches had allowed a top tier defensive coach to become the head coach, and top tier secondary coaches to come to Iowa ST... Right now, the coaches at Iowa St are first tier coaches comparable to Oklahoma and Nebraska... Texas, in my opionion is a step below these three schools in coaching.. they just have alot of talent...

With these coaches in place and the knowledge the bring to the Iowa St game, you will no longer have the issues the sensational McCarney staff had of getting over the hump to at least a tier 2 school like a Texas Tech or A&M has been recently..(McCarney to me is better than Mack Brown, he can call a game and in the right school and staff win a NC)

WHEN they reach the tier two status (the hump finally passed), the scary part for the rest of the Big 12 and the university of Big 11 at Iowa... The lock-down of local top-talent recruiting that will happen in the area, Nebraska will rarely go further east than atlantic for recruits at this point and Iowa St will tap much more into Missouri, Illinois and Minnesota than ever which will give these top tier coaches, gulp... TALENT

Next is the cinderella, breakout year like Kansas St in the 90's or the Wake Forest of last year, and then comes the next step, one that the old Kansas St nor Wake Forest could not do, nor will ever due to limitations that Iowa St no longer faces...

Here and there, Iowa St will lose coaches, however money no longer will be a reason why, and this will allow something that this school has never been given a priveledge of, this is called..... CONSISTENCY

The reason why Consistency is so vastly important is to avoid years like the University of big 10 at Iowa and schools like Purdue, much less chance of a roller coaster program... which will bring the program to a state you all have been dreaming about...

Facilities... how important is facilities?? Very important if you have down years and are trying to pull in talent... See Nebraska last 5 years, Oklahoma in the 90's, Notre Dame...well...seems like almost every year now.. you will be making more money as let's face it, bandwagon fans ARE very a very integral part of building a tradition, they bring in money.. they are the Iowa, missouri, minnesota, illinois fans, they are the Nebraska fan haters (god there is alot!!) they will watch the games they will bring in money and in a few years they will sell out and some become lifelong fans, the school can expand the stadium, weight room, seating and raise ticket prices which in turn impresses the recruits even more and the rest is history....

I have had months to think about this.. your AD has Vision!! And I do not care what other fan's think, even though Chizik had tons of talent to work with... everywhere he went the defense just SUDDENLY became amazing... I hope your AD stays and never loses this vision, and I hope you don't quit dreaming....

because it is coming... too many variables have been changed there in the last six months, like a powerful cold front that is just starting to tap into a gulf stream, the storm is about to brew... give him time, and congrats on your future Iowa St.. you've been through ALOT, your turn IS coming..
