When the Auburn staff came up for spring practices, their offensive coordinator Al Borges couldn't believe Witt was basically a high school senior.

Scouts Inc is, to my knowledge, the only recruiting service that has former NFL and professional football scouts on their payroll.

"...I wonder what he is paying these kids?"

I wonder what papa freeman is getting paid, oh yeah, $90,000 a year

"BN/CF- Can you remind me the last big name QB UNL tried recruiting? Thats right, he is at K-State."

sam keller, zac lee.  both at nebraska.  It's funny though, hearing ksu fans going on and on about landing freeman.  the guy that throws 3 interceptions for every touchdown.  They must think we miss him or something, they must think we aren't set at qb or something and wish we had freemans interception throwing servies

    The very best.
Funny thing is Freeman's big 12 record of 4-3 (57%) is better than Cally's 13-12 (52%) record.

That isn't just funny, that is hysterical.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Actually, he doesn't have that job anymore. Rumor has it that after Freeman's sixth turnover against ku Prince called the GOP and told them to pull the plug on old Ron Freeman.

Congrats, you beat out Mizzou, Iowa and Alabama.   :jerkoff:  Until you beat out Texas, USC, ND and Florida's of the world, I'm not that impressed.

i love how every single nebraska and ku fan is banking on Freeman failing this year. have they ever maybe came up with the thought that just maybe freeman might do well?

ESPN calls Blaine Gabbert the best prospect in years. Combine that with the best offensive line class in the country, and four verbals commitments from the Rivals Top 100, and the future for Nebraska is looking good. It also appears that NU is the only team in the Big 12 North with verbal commits from the Rivals Top 100.

GO BIG RED!

Why post this? Sorry to call out another husker fan but going onto other teams boards and bragging about this makes us look really bad, not good.

The happiness I had about this news last night was tainted when I saw what pricks a few of our fans were being to Mizzou fans, Colorado fans, and KSU fans...on their boards.

Besides, it is a long way until February, he lives in Missouri, and we've had this blow up in our face before. Doing this just sets us up to look like asses if anything happens.

I have. He was inconsistent last year--which is perfectly fine considering he was a freshman--but in the games he played well (Colorado, Texas, Oklahoma State) he showed a huge upside. He really, really needs protection though.

That's the official stupid NU fan, stupid KSU fan free-for-all board.

beating out bama is pretty impressive.  you have the highest paid coach in the industry working there, who also happens to be a former nfl hc and a national champion winning hc in college.  Lets see you get a bluechipper away from bama, one that was so interested he visited.  also, major applewhite is a rising star in the coaching community and is becoming a good recruiter.

Good pickup, no doubt.  Looks like the order will be restored in the north like it used to be during our better years.  You guys will start taking the North title at the highest rate, we'll win it a decent amount of the time, and Mizzou or Colorado can win it if they get lucky.

Freeman will be better this year

Itake B-Easy over Gabbert...we have seen B-Easy play and he is bringing past teammates with him - there won't be a "getting to know each other" period....they already have played together and will do great.

Some of these posts are why everyone laughs at the cornhole fans.

"Did you see that 4th string tackle in the Spring Game, he already looks like a high 2nd round draft pick".

"My god that graduate assistant has the best looking headset in college football, no other program can provide a headset to a graduate assistant like Nebraska Football can . . . NO ONE!!".

You guys can joke all you like... but I'm honestly getting scared...   Nu has the most talented athletes in all of college football....   What's going to happen when they fire Callahan and bring in a respectable coach?   Does anyone remember what OU's record was the year before Stoops got there?

Seriously though... what would happen if they got a coach that didn't suck?

Nothing . . . they just be a little better, but no where close to what they think they're getting back too.   Remember, it took Tom Osborne 25 years to get too what they want to get back too now.

    Gettin' angried up!!!
Scouts Inc is, to my knowledge, the only recruiting service that has former NFL and professional football scouts on their payroll.
And they have him ranked as the number 54 overall player.  I can't imagine someone being both the "best quarterback prospect in the last three years combined" (per ESPN) and being only the 54th best prospect in this class alone.  So which is it guys?  Either way, your coach blows, so I am not worried.  Looks like you all have several good prospects at QB, so I expect him to ruin one's (Keller's) pro chances this year, have a couple transfer (Witt being one) and then ruin this kids pro career chances for a couple years after that.  Looking at the big numbers your boy Taylor put up, one would think he surely think he was drafted highly.  Wait, that didn't happen?  Sorry boys, but putting up big numbers when you throw the ball forty times a game doesn't equate to high draft status.  If you need validation, feel free to call one of Tech's QB's from the last seven years.  I'm sure they can take time out of their busy arena bowl league schedules to answer your call.
