Is he featured at all on decade of dominance?

That guy was/is my all-time favorite Wildcat.  The season dedicated to his dead piranha.  Painting his face with eye black so his enemies could not see him.  Taking out the wedge by himself on a kickoff in the Aloha Bowl.  Being a para in my third grade class and explaining that his favorite movie was 'Caddyshack' and that he watched it before every game.

Anyone?

Thanks.

At the beginning of the season instead of busting the wedge he would jump in the air right before making contact and then the wedge would hit his legs and he would flip over the entire wedge.  He got to where he could nearly land on his feet and keep running.  About three games in someone must have had a little conversation with him because he quit doing it.  He was Coop bofore there was a Coop.  His greatest accmplishment was dating Mindy though.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

His greatest accmplishment was dating Mindy though.

QFT.  She was so damn hot.  She was in the DU calendar one year I was judge, I drooled on stage.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

She was the only hot Crappy Cat back in the day.  All the others thought they were just because they were performing with Mindy... hilarious stuff to witness both on and off the court and field.

If someone has a decent clip from the Copper Bowl, Crash does his flip.  On the live version, all you see are a couple of legs flipping across the bottom of the screen.  Great stuff!

Mindy was it.  One of the guys in the fraternity was a photographer for the Collegian.  He took a picture of her from the front doing one of those jumping splits - whatever it's called.  She was wearing some sheer shorts and the sun was behind her.  The outline through her shorts was absolutely marvelous.  It was a black and white photo, so anything sacred was merely a silhouette, but it was incredible!  Maybe I should look him up and try to get a copy of that pic.

I got to sit by her in the blood donation line at the union once.  I kept asking if she would prefer that I poked her instead of the nurse.

Cats put up their 1st 15 points in the 1st quarter without running an offensive snap.  Meanwhile that guy threw all over our defense until they finally settled down and picked him off 5 times.  Then we put up 63; man it was fun when we would consistenly put up 63 against teams like that.

ron hudson.  dude knew how to build offenses.  '95 - '02 were the salad years of ksu offense.

Remember how everyone hated Ron Hudson (myself at times included)?  I especially remember the insane hatred of the Beas.  Uncalled for.

Little did they know 2001 was lo :'(oming (and 2004, 2005, 2006. . .)

And some guy named Snyder.  FWIW, I was never a Hudson basher.  The guy (and Snyder) knew exactly what he was doing; QB run game + option + power running game + vertical passing game is extremely tough to defend.  Who cares if it was "predictable". (which it wasn't nearly as predictable as some wanted to believe.)

not to short change snyder, but the offense got much, much, much more explosive after hudson took over.  the chad may offense was impressive, but not in the same league as what hudson did.

the only thing that i thought was predictable was the audible.  and it's true that the delay of games were excessive.  i was anti-hudson for about a week, then i looked at how consistently the offense was racking up sick yardage and 40 point games, and realized that hudson knew more about what he was doing than i ever would.

even when the perfect storm of suckage hit the offense in 2001, we still averaged 400 yards and 30 points a game.  at the time, it was brutal to watch, but looking back i'm not sure how he got that kind of production out of that unit.

Didn't hurt that Hudson just happened to take over the OC job when some guy named Bishop took over the QB spot.  :)

true, but the improvements started when hudson arrived as an assistant in '95.  miller didn't have the abilities of a chad may, but the '95 offense was more productive.

and it was no small miracle getting bishop to play as well as he did after arriving late in the summer before the season.

most amazing thing i ever saw was that bishop averaged over 7 yards per play for his career.  unfreaking real.

five of the top six career pass efficiency leaders in ksu history were coached by hudson.  that means every starting qb hudson coached is in the top six in career efficiency.  that's pretty amazing to think about.

Hudson (and all OC under Snyder) aren't "coordinators" they are consultants.  Hudson and his pure genius did wonders at Kentucky.  If Nick Patton didn't absolutely flake out or if Josh Portis signs with KSU, we probably would've been okay.

I only wish Miller had come earlier instead of starting out at aTm.  He was a very accurate passer and had some running ability.  You are correct, his season was really when we started the move to more QB run game, though he was much more of a short to medium passer IIRC.  Hudson did do one heck of a job and I loved watching the offense when he was here.
