The support provided to the basketball program was a big selling point in Oppenheimer's decision to leave Kent State.

"I talked to their president and their athletic director and the support they are giving to Frank, the rest of the basketball staff and all of athletics in general is unbelievable."

Quote
"Kansas is split in half between Kansas and Kansas State, so that puts you in a situation where half the state is your fans," he said. "That's why they sell out every game. They are building a new practice facility and their arena is only eight or nine years old and they are already building luxury suites. They are doing everything they can to be contenders again."

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

2 things I noticed from the above link:

1. Oppy is going from KSU to KSU!

2. Thank goodness our team name is not "golden flashes"!! Reminds me of hot flashes!  :yuck:

A. Your assistant coach doesn't even know how old your arena is.
B. He thinks 1 year of selling all of your tickets and 70% of the people showing up equals selling out every game. Sorry but he is mistaken with Kansas.
C. Half of Kansans aren't K-State fans, more like 40-60.
D.  He looks like a fairy.

If a coach isn't bold and daring, then I don't want him.   He  needs to prove his bold and daringness.

oh c'mon between k-state fans and wichita state fans I don't think they make up 100% of the fans in the state of kansas, i'm sure there are some MU fans, NU fans, and maybe CU fans.

I grew-up near frankfort.  I know that up around my hometown it is 70%KSU 25%ku and 5%NU(losers)...but that's rural kansas.

And that's why half of Kansas State alumns are from Kansas City?

Naming off towns with 1,000 people in them doesn't really prove a lot.
