I would SWEAR there were 25,000 to 30,000. The "official" numbers say 16, 000+. (NO WAY)Someone on GP board said the numbers are ONLY reflected by the actual tickets sold. And there were alot of freebies given. Doesn't the stupid turnstyles give a number count? Also, are the season ticket holders under the category of "free tickets"?

16K is WAAAY low. ADTW is a dumbass.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

there were no turnstiles at the gate I entered.   I guestimated around 22,000 based on the capacity of the stadium and that the lower bowl was about 70% full

Wasn't there, but it "sounded" like 30,000+ on the radio.  I'm gonna go with that number.

    THE b IS NOT CAPITALIZED
The carnival wasn't as effective this time.
I'm telling you, this is not ANYTHING like the team from the beginning of conference play. You will see no more blowouts like what happened in OOC.  If we lose, it will not because these kids gave up, and it will be at the buzzer. -Rodless, before 97-70

Still at least twice as effective as the circus ku held in that empty stadium.

I don't remember any ku fans touting their spring game attendance numbers. We know it sucks. But our actual game attendance is where it should be and rising.

I just think the massive dropoff for Ksu from last year is humorous. Especially after all the 'we'll have 30k+ easy' smack that I've read.

Most people were saying around 20-25,000.  Sounds like that's about how many people were actually there, unlike what is being reported.

Again, the 16,732 was tickets sold, it didn't count the people who got in free.  All season ticket holders got a free ticket for example.

"30K easy" smack, that's smack, a prediction is smack??

16k is the official number of attendance. Any other number is speculative.

Wisconsin had 18,020.
Iowa 19,000
USC 15,000
Michigan 5,500
BYU 16,752
Tennessee 17,409

Damn, you're a dumbass.

Goldy, there were more than 16,000 there, it's really not that hard to understand.  This isn't a ku Al Bohl guess, it was over 16,000 paid, plus several more thousand at least not paid.

I just can't take your word for it.

I'll take Tim 'I offered to rename the university after Bob Huggins' Weiser's word for it.

What does he get right?

Nevertheless, I am forced to use his low road number.

I admit, it was very non ku football Saturday like, where every freebie, kid walking up in his Pop Warner jersey and getting in free, band day etc. etc. is counted in the attendance.

Wow... a whopping 16,000 for a spring game.

Now, if only you could cram 13,000 into that sh*thole you call Bramlage, maybe Huggins would have stuck around for another year or two.

I guess you need another lesson on how it took those HUGE basketball fans at ku FOUR years to sell out Allen Fieldhouse during Larry Brown's tenure.

Plus, at KSU it's just a matter of people not using their tickets, the money was in the bank.  But, you're too big of a dumbass to understand that.

Yeah, Goldy . . . those press box guesses at ku to give to the SID, very well thought out guesses.

I remember reading the minutes of the now defunct ku athletic board a couple of years ago, when Lew couldn't tell them what the actual football attendance was at ku for a series of games.

ku Football:  No winning conference seasons since 1995.
