Bad feeling.
:ohno:
-
I think we'll lose at least one of our next two games and win only 2 of our last 4.
-
Me, too.
:ohno:

Debbie Downer and Negative Nancy
-
Put your fears to bed Boys, I think that we take 3 of the last 4. I cant see us losing to ISU. I dont know why I am feeling it, but I dont think that ISU has seen a QB like our boy Josh. That being said, if our O Line doesn't block... :ohno:
-
It is an 11:30 game, so I'm sure we'll come out half asleep again.
-
I think ku loses to OSU.
I think we win out.
ku/MU/KSU all tie with KSU being champion due to quality win in conference (Texas)
KSU beats OU by 5 in the big XII championship
KSU plays WVU and Ian Campbell chases Pat White to the sideline knocking over Huggy and his scotch. Huggy tries to go Woody Hayes on Ian and Rob Jackson finally makes a play kicking Huggy in the groin. Bill Walker developes all time man crush on Rob.

I started reading your post and thought it was rather powertardish and even started to plan my  response. Then I came to the last paragraph and it all came together. Bravo.

ISU is not that bad of a football team. Bad? yes, but not Baylor bad. They have enough talent on that team and I don't think they are going to lose out the rest of the way. They will win at least one game in conference. Same for NU. NU’s best chance at another win is against us and cu and they have us at home on senior day (even with Joe Ganz at QB).
-
I've got a bad feeling about the ISU game as well. Feel good about MU, though. Go figger
-
We are all just guarding ourselves against too much optimism. Come on, none of us really think ISU should be us. ISU is a bad football team that has gotten a little bit better as the season as progressed. OU and MU did not play well against them and so it was closer than it should have been. KSU should win by at least 10 points.
Either way, I'll be there......... :ksu:
-
Like many teams in the Big XII this season, K-State has a tendency to play up or down to the opposing teams talent level. I think the Cats will win, but it may be closer than some would like. Anyone know what the spread is yet?
That's my Two Cents

What's the weather supposed to be like Saturday in Ames? It's been awhile since we have had a brutally cold game. :ohno:
-
Quit, you are scaring the children. We will win out.

Bad feeling.

I will bump this if right, and crow about my FBIQ, enjoy the win if wrong.
^Brilliant.

Bad feeling.

That same wise man said:
Why are you so worried about Iowa State?
because my FBIQ is low enough to see...
Senior QB Brett Meyer = gobs of experience
Senior WR Todd Blythe = playmaker, size, and gobs of experience
TE Barkema
OL shows signs of some life
JC AA running back
Some playmakers on defense...they have two lockdown corners in the making in Bell and Singleton.
Any given Saturday...Iowa and OU in Ames this year...Mizzou last year...
in summation after this season: me = :ohno: about Ames
-
Well, let's just say after this weekend.........the pupil moves ahead of the teacher.

I have analyzed this game, and we win imo.
-
'07 ISU game='06 CU game IMO.
Last year I had a bad feeling going into that game, and look what Freeman and Co. did.
Similar situation for both teams, on the road again. This game scares me as ISU usually plays KSU tough. Meyer and Blythe dont help that feeling much either.
-
CU last year was better. KSU last year was worsier.
-
We'll beat ISU and Nebraska, I'm worried about MU and Fresno.
-
We'll have to play about twice as bad as we did in the first half against Baylor to even have a CHANCE to lose this game.
-
If we play as bad against ISU in the first half as we did agaiinst Baylor, we'll be down a couple of touchdowns. Baylor dropped like 2 INT's in the first quarter alone. I suspect ISU will switch coverages up pre-snap like Baylor did. It confused the hell out of Freeman for a while. They'd show man, Freeman would check to the fade to Jordy and then they'd back our of it and go zone. We finally made an adjustment to that in the 3rd QTR on Jordy's touchdown catch where he faked a flag route and ran a skinny post.
God, Baylor is so incredibly terrible. My favorite play was a 4th down call where Baylor's QB and RB ran into each other and we tackled the QB for a loss.

Yeah, I actually lol'd, turned to an old timer next to me and said, "You almost feel sorry for them after a while, don't you?"
And he said, "No, I never do." :blank:
Seriously, ISU is about to get "Chizik'd."
But our D scares me.
-
And he said, "No, I never do." :blank:
We have some hardcore fans. Did he have a Russian accent? German?

No, but he did have a beard.

Hmmm. Did he look like this WANTED MAN?
-
^Yeah, pretty close.
Ruthless.
-
Y'all are forgetting the most important thing....Chizik formerly coached at our main rival and we own them....hence we own Chizik.

ISU can be a pretty physical team, at times we can too, if we don't play physical we could have a tough time moving the ball.
If we win the TO battle we win.
-
As a wiseman once said...
"unfortunately I took this exit off the main road and this thread instead read "Welcome to Tardville".
wiseman? pffft...more like wiseguy..nyuck, nyuck.
a few things have me feeling better about this game.
1) Baylor pass D and pass Eff. D(remember, Mack knows) is >>>> ISU
sidenote: ISU not only surrenders 72% completion by opponents but also gives up 8.2 per attempt.
2) scoring off in B12 play = KSU 40.4...ISU 14.4...while games may be tight the percentages tend to show up as a game progresses.
But I'm still :ohno: about this one.
-
if they hadn't played MU that well, would be still be worried?
me..yes

^Watching this made me feel better.
-
Lot of FP and TC's in this thread.
Looks like I'll be deleting some accounts on here and sending you over to some of the Big 10 boards.
-
I think that they will move the ball on us some, I love our redzone D though and I bet they attempt a bunch of fg's.
I think we'll figure out a way to run the ball against them.
This will be as ugly as the Baylor game and not as high scoring.
-
KSU plays WVU and Ian Campbell chases Pat White to the sideline knocking over Huggy and drinks his scotch. Huggy tries to go Woody Hayes on Ian and Rob Jackson finally makes a play kicking Huggy in the groin. Bill Walker developes all time man crush on Rob.
:nutkick:
Fixed it for ya !
-
Y'all are forgetting the most important thing....Chizik formerly coached at our main rival and we own them....hence we own Chizik.
^^^Best point in this entire thread. The ISU game is simply a continuation of our rivalry with Texas and domination of all things spawned from Texas.
-

LOL -- that was great. I just turned to my gf over and over and said 'and this is why you're baylor'
we just laughed.
-
Didn't they hire their coach from our rival?
Haha, like he knows how to beat us.

KSU vs. ISU last ten years:
2006: 31-10 KSU
2005: 17-45 ISU*
2004: 23-37 ISU*
2003: 45-0 KSU
2002: 58-7 KSU
2001: 42-3 KSU
2000: 56-10 KSU
1999: 35-28 KSU
1998: 52-7 KSU
1997: 28-3 KSU
AVG: 39-15 KSU
*Everyone played us tough these two years

When KSU completely forgot how to defend the option . . . and the same day Glen Mason pissed down his leg in Lawrence against NU.

The high is supposed to be in the 50's in Ames this weekend. Party cloudy. It might as well be summer if it's that warm in November up there.
I'm going, see you all there. I hope the team plays better defense against the Clones than they did against Oklahoma State. That's what is going to win or lose this game. A defense that can tackle.

I'd say MU's and OU's QB have a bit of an advantage on Freeman in decision making, but I’ll agree Freeman won't go down easy! That being said I think KSU has a good chance to win out. The ISU game will be closer than wanted by many, but KSU will pull it out. The MU game is going to either be a stomping by MU or a stomping by KSU one way or the other. I just have a feeling one team comes to play and one doesn't. With Pinkel as HC I say KSU takes the game and wins out.

There is a good chance the KSU-MU game will be like 49-45 type game. Whoever has the ball last wins. If its a blowout, KSU is likely to be on the wrong side.

ISU is due for a win. I see loss.
Of course, I also saw 4-8 last year.
-
I watched the first half of baylor and they played very solid defense, our oline did not stay with blocks well, and freeman didn't go through his progressions at times. But we were better than them and it showed.
I think ISU will make it a game for a half but i don't think they have the offense to put us away.
I'm thinking 27-14 ish.

I will continue to feel good about us playing Mizzou at home until they actually pull one out. Of course, I said the same thing prior to the ku game. :censor:!!!

If we lose to Iowa State, then I will shut this site down for good.

Yes. I did. And so did Baylor.

Some of you need to grow a sack. Iowa State is horrible. They lost at home to Kent State and Northern Iowa. K-State won by 20 points on the road at Texas. The same Texas team that beat Iowa State 56-3. Seriously, this game won't be close.
-
I understand being cautious and all, but seriously, KSU is gona roll ISU. As long as at least half the team gets off the bus, this is a W.
-
I only make predictions on televised games.
Kansas 41
Nebraska 10
-
It's our luck that Iowa State will have decided to have their breakout game against us.
God, I'm gonna hate this weekend.
-
I feel like I should actually defend Ksu here.
But I'm not going to.
-
Murphy, Diehl, Garvin are hurt.
-
How many of you will be listening to this game in the truck between fields?
-
Jordy Nelson will outscore the cyclones.
-
I see the Cats starting strong and taking a 23-13 lead late in the 3rd quarter. However, ISU gets it going by running FB dives between the tackles to score twice in the 4th for a 27-23 upset win...
Naw, that could never happen.

You're such a downer.
I want to hate you but I know you're right.

This thread reminds me of the KSU vs. Colorado pregame thread a year ago. We were so afraid that we were going to be the team that gives CU their first confernce win. Result....Freeman set a freshmen record for completions, completion percentage...and the game was never really in question.
Problem is..I see Brett Meyer being more of a problem than Bernard Jackson...and ISU has a bit more talent...but ISU's special teams is miserable. That might be what keeps the game in our favor.

qft. great win by prince n co.

If we lose to ISU then we could easily lose the last 4 games. That being said, no chance of losing to this crappy team. ISU is one of the worst, if not the worst, teams in the history of the league. This game reminds me of the Colorado game last year. People nervous about playing a crappy team on the road. ISU will join 2002 ku as a winless in league play North team. Think about how bad this team looks in 2008? No Meyer or Blythe! The days of a bowl game most every season (5 in 7 years) under Coach McCarney are long gone in Ames.

Is this one of those, "Dear God, if you please make my tax refund more than $30,000 I promise to donate it all to the church" and then your accountant says "Congrats! You just got $55,000 back!" moments?
