Current: South 7-5
projection : South 10-8
could be anywhere from 9-9 split to 11-7 South.

Colorado: 2-0
wins: vs. Oklahoma, @ Baylor
this week: @ Texas Tech

Likely 2-1 as I don't see them winning in Lubbock Saturday.

Kansas: 1-0
wins: vs. Baylor
this week: @ Texas A&M
other game remaining: @ Oklahoma State

Could be anywhere from 3-0 to 1-2 as both College Station and Stillwater are tough places to get a win.

Kansas State: 1-1
wins: @ Texas
losses: @ Oklahoma State
This week: vs. Baylor

Should finish 2-1 w/ a win over Baylor

Mizzou: 1-1
win: vs. Texas Tech
loss: @ Oklahoma
game remaining: vs. Texas A&M in Columbia

Mizzou should finish 2-1

Nebraska: 0-2 (LOL)
losses: vs. Oklahoma State, vs. Texas A&M
this week: @ Texas

forget it. They will be 0-3. (LMAO)

Iowa State: 0-3 (<-- :ohno: <-- me <-- fatty )
losses: @ Texas Tech, vs. Texas, vs. Oklahoma

Why are you so worried about Iowa State?

They're the North equivalent of Baylor.

Why are you so worried about Iowa State?

because my FBIQ is low enough to see...

Senior QB Brett Meyer = gobs of experience
Senior WR Todd Blythe = playmaker, size, and gobs of experience
TE Barkema
OL shows signs of some life
JC AA running back

Some playmakers on defense...they have two lockdown corners in the making in Bell and Singleton.

Any given Saturday...Iowa and OU in Ames this year...Mizzou last year...

in summation after this season: me =  :ohno: about Ames

Playing in Ames is a lot like playing in Boulder....(now Stillwater) strange things happen in those places.

ISU is a "trap" game . . . plus excuse the resident squawk fans, their blood isn't prepared for the rarified air of JCCC-L's current football stature.

Kansas had a tough time with them in Ames last season (41-10).  Iowa is terrible.  Oklahoma hasn't looked that great on the road and only beat Texas by a TD, as opposed to the 41-21 pasting K-State gave them in Austin.

Iowa State has lost at home to Kent State and Northern Iowa.  They lost to the same Toledo team that Kansas drilled 45-13.  Texas beat these guys 56-3 in Ames.  Even Nebraska beat the Cyclones this season.  I honestly see no reason why any rational K-State fan with a FBIQ above room temperature would be worried about playing Iowa State this season.  K-State will likely finish this season 4-1 with the only possible losses to Mizzou at home or Fresno State on the road.

dude, what happened a month or 2 ago has nothing to do with what happens now.  Teams can get better, teams can fall apart.  ISU has gotten better this season.  If we take them lightly and don't show up, they'll beat us.  See the ku ksu game.

So just because Oklahoma slept-walked to a 17-7 win means that Iowa State has improved?  They lost 56-3 the week before against Texas.

Kstate has never played really solid in Ames. 2003 being the exception. I think we win...but we won't make it pretty.

Lincoln....now that will be pretty. Jordy for prez.

ummm...congratulations?  They also beat a Mizzou team there that..well, destroyed ku.  Teams play differently week to week.  Do you think we are impressed by the fact that ku won for the first time in Ames last year since the inception of the Big 12?  Congrats.

Iowa is terrible.

Iowa is also a well coached football team.  It is a rivalry game and the clones got it done...nearly pulled it off vs. OU.

Oklahoma hasn't looked that great on the road and only beat Texas by a TD, as opposed to the 41-21 pasting K-State gave them in Austin.

"only beat Texas by a TD"...classic.  ku has never defeated Texas in the Big 12.  And who cares if OU barely beat Texas?  I don't think ku would beat either OU or Texas.  Maybe ku will be fortunate enough to find out in San Antonio but I have my doubts whether the beaks will get there.  LOL that ku fans now matter of factly blow off teams like OU and Texas these days.  Seriously, ku is solid but you're not as good as you think.

And last year a 2-10 Colorado team pasted Texas Tech 30-3 in Boulder.  Iowa State last year ambushed Mizzou.  It's called parity.  Who cares if Iowa State lost to a Kent team in early September or lost at a Toledo where ku found it difficult to play last season despite the Rockets not being a bowl team?  KSU was a bowl team last year and barely survived an Illinois State team...later smoked Texas.

get it yet?

    It's time to hit it.
but how will the north vs north records compare to the south vs south records?
I think they'll be real close.

Manhatter, give your team some credit.  They're pretty darn good, despite the loss to Oklahoma State.  There's no way K-State loses to Iowa State.  Absolutely not gonna happen.

there's also the point that teams match up with each other differently.  in the case of ISU, they don't match up with us at all and James Johnson will run for 900 yards prior to #1 throwing for another dozen hundred

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Kind of looks like the font on BC's jerseys last night to me.  Theirs had a bit of a slant to it though.

    The "other" KSU
Hatter - never at a loss for words... that usually is a bad thing, this time it's a good thing. Excellent point - sometimes the obvious gets lost in all the BS.

Anyway - tell me this boys, the fact that the North is getting "better" freaks me out a bit. I see some improvement with us (teeny bit) MU is on par for the success they enjoyed last year, ku is benefitting from an interesting schedule and CU is better and is worse is better and is worse. ISU and NU = trainwrecks. IMO the success and the lack of success should cancel each other out - but we are making strides? Are we getting better OR is the south getting worse? Or as Hatter suggested - is it just parity as this season has showed? Either way, I am sad  :'( College Football is winding down and it is back to hoping and praying until the LOIs come in. BUT we do have ROUNDBALL!!! :excited:  :dancin:  :hookem:  :woohoo:

Man I'm about sick of the patronizing comments.  Just do us a favor and take care of Missouri so we can clinch the north and you can move forward and take your excuses to KSU basketball fantasyland.

If you cant stand the heat, get out of the kitchen - I am not sure if you noticed but this is ksuFANS.com. I believe that making comments about ku's schedule is warranted.

Now run along... shoo-shoo, you might get sympathy from someone on Phog.net (or whatever it is) but you will get none here.
