Good thing they already released Asprilla's promotional trading card.  If he had quit before the UNLV game, they would have pulled his card and we would have to settle for an odd number in the set.  That happened one time when Marques Hayden left.

It sounds like Art still has Frank's back.

Art needs Frank.  It's almost a guaranteed pipeline to get his kinds to a good program in a good league that he can brag about to keep his organization relevant.

Sometimes, it will work for us, and sometimes it won't.  But we can manage out the ones that don't, and Art can come up with some bullshit spin and say he's sending kids to play D1 basketball and circumstances prevented them from finishing their eligibility.

One Art guy leaves, and now there's room for another.  It's the circle of life.

With Freddy off the team, we are now the best looking/most adorable team in the country and it's really not even close.

K-State's Friday practice must have been a doozy. That, apparently, is the reason we won't be seeing Freddy Asprilla again.

Love a good "Frank's practice was ridiculously tough" story.

Kelly's spin move dunk in the first half was pretty much the anti-asprilla post move.

True.

But I'm with sys, I'll miss Freddie a little.  Depth is depth.

Will miss the 'ro-gain' chants from opposing fan bases..
Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever

My source on the team said they practiced 8 hours on Thursday.

If so, we better get a lot better at covering up violations.

Does film count as "practice"? He didn't say, but I'm sure that was 7.5 hours of it.

Yeah, I don't know if there's a limit on watching film.

Serious ?  from Low BB IQ on NCAA  academic progress requirements and such, does Frank's "buy in or quit policy"  hurt our subsequent recruit numbers ?

Depends on the grades the players have when they leave.  If they are in good academic standing and on course to graduate then its no big deal.  We'll find out.

Pretty sure that while school isn't in session the number of practice hours allowed in a week is much more relaxed...

I'm in agreement that we need depth at the big position and would rather fred stuck around....but it's much easier to see him go now that I know he's not really good than before when I held out hope he was kinda good.  :dunno:
