Maybe I'll just be a bandwagon fan from now on.  I love when my teams win, so this seems like it could be a good change for me.

Gotta coworker who is totally oblivious to sports. He hates it when pregame takes over KRock. I wish i could be like him. Goddamnit.

Not me I will live an die with the wildcats.  I remember listening to Cats games (football) on the radio (AM)  praying to win a game.  Have always been and always will support my cats, but good god it's hard.

Don't know what you got till it's gone
Don't know what it is I did so wrong
Now I know what I got

i enjoyed last night.  playing and losing is better than the alternative (the offseason).

K-State fans should have learned by now that your program crumbles when there's expectations.  Not sure why you guys always act surprised when your program fails to live up to them.

Banging super models by the bus-load sounds fun?

It's okay.  But still....the cats.  Hard to kick.

I'm thinking about quitting sports fandom all together. I root for rough ridin' goats in every league who get piss pounded for years on end and then do something to get my hopes up only to fall flat on their asses in the end. I know for a fact that none of my teams (Chiefs, Royals, Cats Football and Basketball) will ever win a championship while I'm alive. Most years they won't even sniff a championship, so they can be ignored early and forgotten about. But the years when they make a bit of noise or have preseason expectations are the worst and will eventually lead to my premature death.

So, assuming there were no sports, what the hell would I spend my time doing? Banging super models by the bus-load sounds fun?

i feel you.  the chiefs/royals/KSU fan is the most difficult fan in the world to be.  wrote about it on my blog a few yrs back (http://whoreadsthis.wordpress.com/2007/12/03/the-most-difficult-fan-in-the-world-to-be/).  Got too depressed to even finish writing about how depressing the KSU part of that trio is.

If Kstate doesnt make the tourney this year I will seriously consider giving up any emotional ties to teams.  Treat sports more like a goofy little hobby.

I want to quit sometimes to, but then I look at the diploma on my wall and think "Wow, I actually graduated from a University, instead of going to community college or some piece of crap non-D1 hick university and calling myself a ku fan"

Our basketball team might not have much pride or honor, but I still do.
