no excuse for the rebounding & defense.

on offense, i blame the guards.  the bigs posted up pretty well in the first.  scored when they got the ball.  after the guards stopped feeding them, they stopped posting hard.  but by then martin had decided not to play any of them, so it was a moot point.

Can't score, can't rebound, can't defend

Guards aren't very good either

How many called Sprilla actually being a downgrade in the post?

it amazes me that out of the big options, people pick asprilla as the scapegoat.

Upon Further Review/Manley with a good breakdown highlighting the inconsistent play of our bigs.

Guard to post passing became atrocious right before half.  Our guards suck.

I am going to get back on my talking point that we need more guards than just Angel.

Just got destroyed on the glass.

freddy must have practiced really well this week, he played a lot.

Wally started out too well so Frank had to ice him on the bench.
good point, wally prob had some personal issues come up during the game so frank just let him ice them down on the sideline at his own personal pace.  some things are bigger than basketball.

also, freddy's hands makes george hill's hands seem softer than cotton balls.
love your posts clams
thanks CatsFan_58, you brought some sun to my very cloudy day.  was it the reference to george hill or making fun of frank?

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Andre Roberson 6'7" 195 skinny as a toothpick FR - 9 pts, 9 boards. Nothing spectacular but effective. I knw we didn't play any bigs the last 10 mins besides Samuels(injured?), but still Roberson outperformed any big we threw on the floor last night.

For those of you keeping track at home, that's a 3* NR recruit whose best competing offers were from Wichita St, Tulsa, and Penn St.

This.  The kid simply outworked our bigs.  He wasn't getting great position, our guys were just getting no position.  He's not a physical player, but he was more physical than our bigs b/c they weren't physical at all.

That first 10 minutes of basketball was perhaps the most frustrating stretch of the Martin/Huggs era for me.  The last few of the first half were bad, but Frank messed up and put in a screwy line-up.  But to come out to start the 2nd half and give absolutely nothing for 10 minutes was embarrassing as a K-State fan.  JMHO.

Freddy looks like he just gave birth to that ball.  Both in position and in that he looks to be finishing his last contraction.

That was a great opportunity wasted b/c Freddie wasn't on the same page with Pullen.  He came off the screen and roll with Pullen and had space, though the pass wasn't the greatest.  It was more Freddie's fault b/c he didn't expect it though, and he should.

I like that we tried to get some screen and roll game as well as some slip screens in this game.  The first slip screen with Judge was beautiful.  However, CU did a great job adjusting to that and we never recovered, though part of the problem is our bigs did a poor job selling the screen when we tried to slip screen after Wally's initial lay-up.  Regardless, this is a nice addition to the offense, it just has to be refined b/c our bigs should be able to screen and roll and run slip screens.

Yeah, the two or three times that our guards passed down to Freddy and the ball bounced by, while his heavy feet were unable to step forward for the catch, a part of me died.

no wonder our fans are retards, when they're being spoonfed idiocy like this.  asprilla posted up well.  the dumbass guards couldn't throw him a decent pass.

The two or three times I referenced seemed to be all about bad angles.  He needs to either create a better angle in his post up, or the guards need to swing and create the angle.  The passes I referenced were at very flat angles and the ball didn't have any chance at doing anything but bouncing right by.  I know it is hard to post up only to jump out and catch.  Been there, done that.  Given that, this is a very basic issue.

The defense of our fball team was maybe the worst I've ever seen in my life and people still couldn't shut up about and take their focus off of coffman. The asprilla hate really shouldn't surprise but it still does. Kstateos are a unique group.

the guards only tried to get the ball into the post a few times, so i'm sure we're talking about the same turnovers.  you're right, the pass were thrown at a poor angles (don't know what is flat or nonflat about an angle, so i'm changing the terminology), and asprilla had almost no chance to get to them.  it was just the guard's fault.  the guards are retards.
