George 4man grill (Cooking Elites Only)
« on: January 12, 2011, 06:39:36 PM »
I feel like the George foreman grill totally defeats the purpose of cooking meat items. It squeezes burgers, chicken etc. until all the juices (fat & other good stuff) go out and they end up all dry and not-tasty.

It's good for pannini's and hot sandwiches but besides that I don't really see the point

Also what % of lean ground beef do you elites buy?

Are you still in college?

no

even if you're buying non-injected meat? if that's true there is really no point to the 4man at all

they're good for grilled cheese too, i don't mind the foreman.  never use mine though.

i buy ground sirloin.  it's expensive @ ~$4.99 but what can i say, i'm worth it!   :woot:

i cooked a t-bone steak on my foreman once in college, worked great. thought about cooking hot dogs on it a couple days ago but went with the frying pan/butter route instead.  something about cooking a hot dog in a foreman intrigues the living crap out of me.

Thick quesadillas. if you don't have a quesadilla maker.  Judging by your post-graduate use of the Foreman, i'll venture out and say you don't.

I knew it!

seriously though, nothing wrong with cooking some burgers on the foreman on a rainy day or in winter IMO.  just make sure you don't over cook and don't press down on them.

good call on the sandy's.  Buy some good sour dough, turkey and swiss.  yum.

Foreman underrated, IMO.  Good for burgers, etc., when you don't feel like firing up the outside grill.

I mainly use foremans for meats where they're not the main part of the meal. Like grilled chicken in salad or mexican food. Also stuff like bacon and hotdogs.
