Too many events that are "judged" in the winter olympics.  I hate subjective sporting events.

I enjoy watching it. If this was an annual thing, definitely wouldn't watch it though.
Sometimes I think of the Book of Job and how God likes to really eff with people.

If you've never skied before, I understand why you wouldn't appreciate the winter games.

This.

Plus, NBC has completely ruined the Olympics...both Winter and Summer.

I watch Winter O's just for the sweeping panoramas when they go to commercial breaks.  Awesome.

I enjoy popping my collar to foreign people about the Olympics.  I purposefully make it known that I don't know WTF is going on in the Olympics but that I'm sure USA! is dominating whatever country they are unfortunate enough to be from.  Made this German girl very angry two years ago during the summer games doing this.

Yeah it's not the talent that sucks. It's the way the NBC has this clusterfuck set up. It's worse than FOX doing college football :barf:

Funny how many events, the people aren't like even breathing hard.... Doesn't seem like real sporting events. Very diff than Summer Olympics.

How about that biathlon? Like a manhunt on a mountain!

Summer Olympics = people doing stuff I can do better than I could ever do it
Winter Olympics = people doing stuff I can't/will never do.

Winter Olympics are almost like the Guinness World Records version of Olympics. 25 saltines in a minute/world record luge time? Congrats, I guess you're the best at that.
"How will I recruit to Manhattan? Well, distance. And the proud state of basketball. It start there, and then daily flights to Dallas, because I'm really good at going out. Like top five good. Ask my wife. She wants me to be happy."

You could do any of it if you wanted to (or at least try to).  What you're really saying is that you don't want to do things like ski or ice skate.  But do you really want to do things like run around a track or throw crap really far?

Winter sports all seem like something you'd need to be rich to get good at.  Except maybe speed skating.(?)

Summer sports mostly require a shoe or ball and a flat surface.  Anyone can do a summer sport.  (except maybe equestrian(?))

I have the means to collect coins.  That doesn't mean I want to watch people do it on TV.  I want to ski, but I don't want to run.  I watch them both.  For me, competition is competition.  I find both olympics equally compelling.
