Jesus.  That goalie, Miller, just said that the team thinks they match up really well with Canada, are more physical than Canada is, and that they expect to beat them again.  He was dead serious.  He finished by saying that he'd almost guarantee a victory.

So like how much of a mess is Sochi going to be?  I've seen reports that we (the US) will have warships and choppers on standby to evacuate in case of a terrorist attack.

Anyone you'll be following in particular?  Shaun White, Bode Miller, Lindsey Vonn will be missed obviously, what else?

I like the downhill skiing.  Not the slalom stuff, the put your head down and go stuff.  Also the ski jumping is good.  Bobsled/luge/skeleton stuff is good, too.  Ice skating is good if we win and we get to mush the Russians.  Otherwise it's whatevs.

Do we have any figure skaters worth keeping an eye on?

Glad you asked.  We return the silver medalist ice dancers who also won the world title in 2011.  The figure skating squad is young but poised to do big things.  Lotta question marks on the men's side.

This Olympics will have a team medal, which is a new for the event.  Team USA is a favorite to win in.  U S A!  U S A!

Sweet. Is the triple axel still everyone's best move, or has the sport evolved beyond that?

The olympics are great because they never interfere with any important sporting events(Football season, NCAA Tournament).

Did we not win the gold in hockey last time?

I just assume that America kicks ass at every sport and I'm usually right.
