If it is true that he was offered a Co-DC position, gotta fire Bill.

Ya, that's absurd.  What a fool.

From TOS:

Email that I received a couple of days ago:

"known Jim since we were at MU in late 70's. Truth is, he didn't win enough conference games.  Woolward (ad), just wanted him gone.  He didn't hire him and Jim suspects the boosters were on him hard. It's Florida and they want to be on the level of the gators, seminoles and hurricanes.  Doug did not even have ONE conversation with Jim before launching the investigation....only talked to him at the termination table after pulling him off the road recruiting. In over 30 years coaching this is the first inkling of abusing players.  As for lying, he says he didn't do it and no one asked for his side. A player showed up in his office one night and he told him to tell the truth.  No lying, no coverup.  I just want the truth out there.

He's going to 49rs.  Bill offered him co-dc at K st.  He was pretty torn, but the hciw was not discussed and he doesn't trust ad's anymore.  Harbaugh is the hottest deal going and he feels he will learn alot.  Then maybe get back into college coaching down the road.  He loves Snyder and appreciated the offer."
Try not killing the messenger....

I hope every word of this is true and that Bill didn't even consider letting him run the defense by himself.  it will help cement my hatred.

Very frustrating. Pisses me off.

Welp, I now firmly believe that LHC Bill Snyder will eventually leave this program in no better shape the second time, as he left it the first time.

Not a doubt in my mind.

Agreed.

And I also firmly believe there will be no succession plan when he calls it quits and abruptly departs again (nor do I really want one from him at this point).

I'm starting to understand Bill's definition of "calm the waters" is actually "stagnant waters".

And I'm starting to understand his idea of a succession plan will be to walk out the door and offer up Sean or Dimel as his heir to the throne in his castle.

Not a doubt in my mind.

I believe he will leave the program in worse shape the second time.

I can't even rough ridin' believe this.  It's truly worse than I imagined...and I imagined it being pretty rough ridin' terrible.

If he didn't, at the bare rough ridin' minimum, offer him sole DC, Snyder can eat a burning bag of dicks.

Maybe you guys don't understand OB's "Final Solution".

With Leavitt on staff, there's little chance of Sean taking over when OB steps down -- the shirt-tucks will demand Leavitt.

By making a half-assed play for Leavitt, he keeps the shirt-tucks happy for another year or two, and leaves Sean to be the only possible replacement when he retires and they want to keep it "in the family".

I refuse to believe even the tuckiest of all tucks would EVER want sean as a HC.  I could see others on staff currently that they might panic and agree to promote but there is no way anyone is going to let him be the HC.

Imagine how awkward it must be to be Currie.   I'm sure he's very aware of this, but has to just let Bill fail in order to keep the Old Balls money types giving....they have to WANT Bill to leave in order for Bill to leave...and they are not ready yet.

Currie needs to sack up and end this charade.

One thing will yield donations: WINNING

Old fuckers can take their money for a season.  with a winning coach they will be back like rough ridin' sand people.

If LHC Bill Snyder said it was in the best interest of our program that Sean took over and that he personally thinks he is the best candidate for the job, you better believe the shirt-tucks will go along with it.

EXACTLY!  You think Michigan boosters are happy with Hoke?  No.  Are they gonna stop going to games and donating money.  NO!!!

You gotta remember that shirt tucks at KSU are kinda unique.  They have ZERO life outside of K-state sports.  They can threaten to not renew their tickets and close their wallets but they'll be back the second they realize that the only other thing have to do with their time is sit in their boring living room and stare at their fatass old bitch of a wife.

If Currie hires some hot young stud that recruits like crazy and wins games, they'll come begging for their spot back in the club level.

It's like watching a old pet get sick.  Currie knows he's going to have to put him down at some point, but is keeping him alive because he's worried the experience will be too traumatic for the kids and hoping nature will take care of the situation for him.

Meanwhile, he's cruising petfinder.com at work, keeping his eye out for a kick-ass new dog for when the time comes.

This is from today.

The University of Mississippi posted openings on its website for two assistant coaches last week. Nutt has been looking for a defensive backs coach and a wide receivers coach. The two names that surfaced early and have stuck have been Kansas State defensive backs coach Keith Burns and Oklahoma State wide receivers coach Gunter Brewer.
