I remember a lot of people were pretty unhappy when Snyder hired Bennett, many didn't know of him as a household name and were still reeling from Stoops departure, many i know felt it was a step down.. I honestly don't know about the guy, but that means nothing, and certainly doens't mean he's a bad hire because he's not a JL type name. Tons of really good coaches out there that you've never heard of.

So, Burns was pretty much the only bright spot of our staff...right? Maybe not bright spot but you could see he may do things differently and have some potential. He leaves on the first train out of dodge to get as eff as far away from LHC Bill Snyder as he can and we hire this old dried up bar owner in lawrence to replace him....meanwhile, chris cosh is our DC and we have complete rough ridin' loser retreads at every other rough ridin' coaching spot. ALSO MEANWHILE Mike Leach is sitting at home begging for a coaching gig. eff you LHC Bill Snyder.

Jim Leavitt is only 7 years his junior, and has a list nearly as long as him at places where he's coached. I've been through this before, but seriously no one honestly grasps the concept that assistant coaches the collegiate and professional level have very short life spans at any one place. It's not an indication of anything really, think i read somewhere that the average stay for assistant coaches at the collegiate level is around 3-4 years. You space that over a long career, yep you're gonna have a pretty lengthy resume.

I mean, jumping Jehosafuck, we just took a coach from the second-worst motherfucking team in C-USA. They wouldn't even finish in the top half of the Sun Belt. We're proper mumped. This might even be a bigger insult than keeping Cosh on staff. GTFO, Bill.
