Tom....I've got some bad news....You see that snow mound where your driveway meets the street? That is going to melt and freeze and melt and freeze into a giant ice block over the next couple of days. I would go ahead and snow blow it now while its still fresh.

Noted.  We're waiting for city trucks to finally plow the cul de sac, and then I will finish up curbs.  Bagged all the freaking leaves yesterday so it doesn't become an icy, block tied together by leaves.  Not supposed to get above freezing all week.

My brother has a snowblower that has been at my parents place since he was in HS and used to snow blow the neighbors for money. My parents couldn't get it started so I went over there Saturday morning before the storm to look at it.

Turns out there was no gas in it, fired right up after I added a little petrol.
Ha.  I thought of slingbade after reading that post too.

My neighbor and I share a driveway that goes right between our houses.  From the street, it goes [driveway bordered by yards] -> [driveway bordered by houses] -> wider pad bordered by fences and garages].

Shoveling that pad is going to be a nightmare.  There’s really only two options.  Throw the snow over the fences into the backyard, or shovel it all the way up the driveway, between the houses, and into the front yard.  I’m not sure a snowblower would even work because of hard far you need to move the snow from back there.

Farm pro tip after checking the gas just pour the ether to it.  She'll start, guaranteed.

I have a big driveway and tried to keep up yesterday. did it 4 times with the last time being about 4ish. looks like there is a decent amount out there again this morning. No school, so have at it kids. There used to be a guy that came by with a snow blower that I would pay if it was a big snow. Must have sold the snowblower without any biggies the past few years.

I shoveled my sidewalk and almost half of my driveway.  I am ready for the sweet release of death.

I shovel mostly to keep area kids (and a few adults) from knocking on my door all day

Got an email from the city saying we should shovel the sidewalks in front of the house. I have a decent sized front yard so the sidewalk in front is pretty long. The plows have put like 3ft of snow on the sidewalks so sorry walkers.

I walked to the store from my place which is about 3 blocks. On that stretch I saw 3 cars abandoned in the middle of the street and another car get stuck.

My gf kidnapped me and forced me to shovel her driveway non stop for the last 3 days. I eventually escaped and went to check on my house which is directly off a 4 lane road and there was about 3ft of heavy snow/slush from the plows blocking my driveway halfway into a lane of traffic. In a normal snow storm of a couple of inches I can just drive over the wall of snow but this was different.....

I had to park in my neighbor's shoveled driveway while I opened up an access point to get into my own unshoveled driveway.....the sidewalks are f'd for a while.

I watched the landscaping company clear the sidewalks. 10 inches with a nice layer of ice.

Some 2 man crew with a stand behind tract loader showed up to clear a neighbor's driveway. I paid them $20 to use the tract loader to clear off all the thick stuff between the street and driveway....well worth it considering it took me about 30 min just to create an opening.

Oh man, that's the dream. I kept waiting for someone to drive by but never got an offer this time. I was in name your price mood so they really missed out.

I cannot emphasize enough how unprepared I was to spend 4 hours clearing my driveway.

My 55f single neighbor who had hip surgery a couple of months ago asked to borrow my shovel today. Her driveway was already cleared so I was like WTF do you need a shovel for Carol?

Just cleaned off her back deck so she can let her doggo out.

I’m really sore today after a similar amount of shoveling around our house combined with some neighbors who have no business trying to shovel snow.

Oh man, that's the dream. I kept waiting for someone to drive by but never got an offer this time. I was in name your price mood so they really missed out.

Went to Walmart yesterday for melt and a shovel. Guy said they’d been out since Saturday. Saw a guy with a plow doing a neighbors drive and walk, asked him to name his price. He said “no price, this is my dad’s house.”

Stiffed.

Enjoy my snow packed sidewalk, ceazy people walkers
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.
