Marcus Denmon can tell the difference between gunshots, even in a church, and even during his cousin’s funeral.

What does that even mean?  Tell the difference between gunshots and what? Why does being at a church make it any harder?  We deserve answers smellinger!

Dear lord. It says in the article that because of his upbringing and lifetime experiences, he was able to tell that the gunshots weren't coming into the church and weren't coming closer to the church. So while others were freaking out about gunshots, he was able to stay calm because he knew the bullets weren't going to be coming his way. It states this in the article.

Denmon immediately recognized the shots coming from outside, knew the blasts weren’t getting closer, but not everyone grew up like him so chaos engulfed the church.
