You mean those guys (sans Snyder) who weren't going to be there when the new AD arrived? Also, that is a lot to consider about a guy who wasn't considered. A K-State source I know and trust on all things K-State says your Captain is full of Crap.
From multiple sources I know and trust, the search committee at K-State, made up of long time K-State administrators and sycophants may have been interested and some even pushing Zenger, but UPKS dug in pretty quick and nipped that in the bud. He didn't want anyone with ties to the former clusterf_ck.
Agree, there were probably some people that had ties to the old regime that liked Zenger and wanted him to be considered. And if this KU guy's source is in that group, then I could see how it could be interpreted that KSU admin folks were interested. But realistically, he did not have a chance. Which is why no one from the search committee viewed him as a candidate.
What KU fan has to realize is that there was NO WAY anyone even remotely connected to Wefald, Krause or Epps was going to get this job. Even though they weren't here any more. The committee and UPKS rightly believed an outside viewpoint was needed to clean up the mess.
