Not sure right now but will get Ft. Lauderdale added to channel guide so at least you will have that.

Actually Working on the channel guide right now for the Nebraska game.

If you find a good bar or restaurant that is ksu friendly while you're down there let me know and I can get it added.

Of course you can always add it as well.  Either way let me know.

sure enough pcatvis. this is what i know. there is a hooters around where i will will be. it's prob around the s 200 beach blvd area. i'm guessing they will have it. since the game will be fairly early and on espnu then i guess it won't be horrible but i'd really like to know if the game will be on at any of the jamaican restaurants just north of ft lauderdale in lauderhill.

I f*cking hate bz and his band of idiots.  He just seems like an uber-douchebag who makes up bullsh*t stories and always has acts like it isn't his fault when he gets his ass kicked.  f*ck you, bz.

Burks visited K-State before he visited Colorado. K-State offered him, he took an official visit. Frank said he spent more than 1/2 a day in Burks' home in Missouri visiting with his family. Colorado got in on him late. Burks' mom wanted him to go to K-State to stay closer to home, but Burks went ahead and visited Colorado. He loved the town and the university and that's the story.

You would think BzDalecheck would be better served playing the "I out recruited K-State" card instead of the "I found a super amazing volleyball player from the Ivory Coast that nobody else knew about" card.

See his inability to give anyone but himself any credit for anything.  To imply he beat out KSU implies KSU deserves credit for being someone he should be proud of beating.  His story is much more self-serving.

it's the same old dog and pony show out of BzDaleCheck, the guy is a habitual liar.  i watch his coach's show every week and can spot at least 3 blatent lies every episode.  the set is nice though.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

The fact that K-State offered him and did a in-home visit is what coach Martin said. And Burks said out in Boulder the weekend of the K-State game that he was set to go to K-State and that his mom wanted him to be close to home but he chose Colorado after visiting there.

Hmmm, CNSCasey vindicated, or sloppy journalism?

Quote
Burks committed to Colorado as a junior, and then his high school and future college teams got a bonus. He grew to 6-6 as a Grandview senior, and everything changed.

This article has some diff info from the radio interview, in that Blair's article says that Bzey said he was scouting other players and noticed Burks.  The radio interview I mention above, stated that an assistant found Burks and turned Bz on to him and Bz first saw him at a camp in Wyoming.

It all sounds like shades of bullshit.

Although, Blair's article does have a quote from Burkes saying that CU started following him his Soph year.

Read Blair's article in the link rather than examining my wording:

"That was after Burks’ sophomore season at Grandview, and it’s also when Colorado started paying attention.

Buffaloes coach Jeff Bzdelik was scouting other players when he found himself at a summer camp in Leavenworth that Burks attended.
Crazy because nobody else, at least from a major conference, had taken notice. But the Buffaloes’ efforts started immediately.
“They saw me then, and I guess they felt like I could do something,” Burks said

the cu coaches went to some of his practices, according to the article.  part of that statement is a quote from burks' hs coach, so presumably it's true.

Actually, the timeline sounds somewhat consitant.

Burks and CU agree that CU was recruiting Burks as of the summer after his soph year. The earlier report I heard on the radio(that started this thread) stated the same but that he didn't sign with them until his sr year. Kchoops seems said the same re: Burks signing. It did look like Kchoops addressed when the recruiting of Burks began, only when he signed. Seems like all this(three sources) can agree.

No one can sign until they're a senior.  The article (and your original post) said he committed as a junior (you said he was committed for a year an a half).  KCPrepHoops and rivals and scout have all refuted that.
