Who said we didn't? The refs threw the game. But it's Cosh's and ultimately Snyder's fault for letting K-State get to a point where they were vulnerable to that type of call. If our run defense plays like they were worthy of even suiting up in NAIA ball, then KSU wins by two touchdowns. We've now made three absolutely horrific offenses look like Oregon for three consecutive games. That's not the fault of a horrifically incompetent crew of Big Ten officials.

edit: To bring the subject back to your post, the assumption is that because of the horrific defense, overtime wouldn't have mattered anyway. That's not that unfair of an assumption, sadly.

What makes me sick is that 8-5 is like an entirely different season from 7-6.

8-5 = Successful season.

7-6 = Mediocrity.

Was it even worth it to go to a bowl?

Yes it was worth it.  The defense did whole bunch of push-ups, so they should be twice as strong next year.
