term replacement
« on: December 28, 2010, 05:25:28 PM »
obviously many of us have officially replaced the term "get drunk" with "PAK"

usage: lets go to the bar and combo fan and get PAK'd, etc

others?

i also like combo fanning around when i'm bored

Oldschool but I still say "EMAWy" about feeling emotional about K-State.

You say the letters or the whole phrase?  The phrase pre-dates goEMAW/ksufans by a little bit

Phrase.  Letters confuse people too easily.  Alphabet soup when said aloud.

To be fair, I didn't use the phrase until posting here.

I regularly use "I challenge any of you to beer pong!" as a kind of battle cry, like after connecting on a long bomb in Madden, or dropping a doc in a pick up game (<--also say "dropping a doc").

When I used to work with Catsdo( :bawl: ) we pretty much carried on conversations as if we were on goEMAW while IMing on gchat. We typed the emoticon language and had a strong Poetwarrior influence.

ben ji- Did you just hear what bosswoman said? She's running this company? :facepalm*:

Catsdo- Yup thats our BOSS :pullstriggerblowsfaceintocubiclewall:

ben ji-  I cant wait to not give a crap once I leave watch :billwalkereatingpocorn:

Any time we do something lame around our house, like go to bed early, we say, "That's so old balls."

I don't think my wife realizes the context, but it works nonetheless.

If anyone is going to a game, or a KSU paker that I won't be attending, I tell them to wabash their ass off.  Also, when I am at a pak, and someone is not coming, I tell them to wabash on over and pak.

KSTATEO is now in circulation among my friends and family, although that's not really replacing any term. "Fitz'd" is a popular expression when someone really screws something up, big time (instead of f'd up). "He's really EMAW" instead of "he's a really big, cool K-State fan."

I say the crap out of "going to [verb] the crap out of [thing/place/event/person]."  Wife and friends now do it, too.  'Grats and thanks to whoever got that going here.
