Well, I'm guessing the same drug policy exists within other sports within the athletic department.  :eye:

How many 16 year olds do these schools allow a player to impregnate before suspension?     :fatty:

i'll admit that i just assumed that most drug-related punishments were an ncaa-wide set of rules.

A&M is apparently the only on who has this figured out.

As far as BB goes, how does Beebe figure on the competitive disadvantage thing?

Seems like the more positives that are allowed would equate to better recruits.   :dunno:

Guessing - and I repeat, I'm only guessing - that this might explain Mike Dixon's suspension at Missouri. Of course, it MIGHT also explains a lot about K-State.

so this thread is basically JMart's way of telling us that Kelly/Samuels/Judge are potheads without directly saying it.

Am I the only one that is perfectly OK with this?

no, everyone is

I would be much more OK with it if the school adopted Texas A&M's policy.

Love the holier-than-thou approach of some of those schools regarding positive drug tests.  A true show of concern is how long they mandate a player sit when he suffers an eye hernia, regardless of how much the player may want to play through it, goggles or not.  KSTATEO looks out for our guys' LONG-TERM health.

Most good programs/coaches have the following philosophies; a) the fewer (and less specific) the rules you have the better and b) only make rules you are willing to enforce.  This doesn't mean those teams/programs are full of chaos and no discipline, b/c you can still have a lot of discipline under this philosophy, you just have to communicate well and develop trust between players and coaches.

What says "I love you big guy" more than allowing a player time to reflect and celebrate the impending miracle of fatherhood?  Nothing I can think of...

When you are the best of the best the game loses it's fun.  You need to find a way to make it a challenge.  You don't need to put any more weight on the bar, but you do it anyway.

re. mys drug suspensions:

playing 5 and 2 minutes amidst dnp games doesn't fit that theory.

"a garden city man wondered in april if the theologians had not made a mistake in locating the garden of eden in asia rather than in the arkansas river valley."

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.
