Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

the new nook looks pretty great.  touchscreen and lighter than the 3rd gen kindle.  lasts two months on one charge.  if i didn't already have the kindle I would consider this.  rumblings amazon is working on an led/e-ink switchable screen tablet next year though which would be ridic.

Yeah. What a pain in the ass.

Also, the new Nook does indeed look sexy.

Just got done reading Game of Thrones, pretty fuckin good.  Also read the Hunger games trilogy which I enjoyed more than I thought I would.

I use Kindle app on my iPad, like a little better than straight up kindle just because it's got the backlight.

Mine has great battery life, there's usually around 15 hours of reading time.  Plug it in overnight, no biggie for me.

And I haven't really noticed the glare but do not read outside much, and I like the backlight so I don't have to have another reading light turned on at same time and so don't have to flip on personal light on planes.  Preferences I guess, no need for a pffftt.

what's the point of having an eBook reader if you can't read it outside?
Where did you get that overnight bag?

So that you can download a book in seconds instead of having to go to a store.  And because paper is stupid.

Should be partying on beach/deck of cruise boat/parks are gay instead of reading.  Reading is for traveling to said destination, once again.. personal preference though, works for me.

I've grown to really like my Nook Color.  Buying books on B&N is easy, there's a ton of them, and they look good on the Nook.  I read a lot at night after my wife has gone to sleep, and the glare off of the tablet isn't enough to bother her, so that works out well for me.

The really good thing, and I'm sure you get this on a Kindle too, is that I downloaded the Nook app on my Evo, and I just kind of go back and forth with my books from my phone to my Nook during the course of the day.

I got a nook color for my birthday. I only want to play on it, not read (would prefer a kindle for reading). It isn't all that great...I'm going to try rooting it go get base android and see if performance improves and if I enjoy things like google reader more from android market..

one thing I don't like about the kindle app is that I can't read stuff I download from somewhere else and send to my @kindle.com account.  I can only read those on my actual kindle.

So that's definitely one thing that the Nook has going for it.

you can send pirated books to your nook account and they show up in the nook app and not just on the nook itself?
