2010 non-con...Anyone have any insight?
« on: February 12, 2010, 12:09:14 PM »
I am fearful that it's going to be a disaster.

No tournaments and I can't recall hearing about anyone else other than UNLV.

Should be playing Bama in the OOD also.

Do we know who we play in the CBE?  That's just one game, isn't it?

No, 2 games at home (against low-majors), 2 in KC (against 2 of those 3).  Sorta like the Vegas tournament we were in when Huggs was here.

This year's CBE was Texas, Wichita State, Pitt, and Iowa.  Texas beat Iowa and Pitt beat WSU in the first round.  Then UT beat Pitt for the championship and WSU beat Iowa for 3rd.

I thought we were going to play them in either the Sprint Center or Wichita or something, since we played them at a neutral site?
Where did you get that overnight bag?

I remember rumors about playing at Madison Square.  Was that for next year, the year after, or just baseless rumor-mongering that I am now perpetuating?   :dunno:

That could be.  I doubt it will be next year then, I don't think we'll do 2 regular season neutral site (non tournament) games.

I haven't heard that.

I would ammend my previous post of not doing 2 neutral site games to 2 local neutral site games in that case though.  If we can get the Jimmy V in the Garden we'll do it.  We did preseason tournament (Milk House), Sprint Center (FL A&M), and Jimmy V (Notre Dame) in Frank's first season.

yeah, the bama return is at a neutral of kstate's choosing (should choose msg, miami or dc).

Pretty sure a tough MIAA team will be visiting, although pretty sure one of the MIAA teams that won't be on the sched is WSU.  Still can't figure why there's no 2-4-1 with them.

Yeah, I sort of vaguely remember something about us going back to the Jimmy V, but that idea may well have been scrapped for the stuff in KC.  It's also equally likely I am insane.   :lick:

True.  But I'm sure if there is anyway to get to NY now with our NY connections Frank will find a way to do it.

I think I remember hearing that our next Jimmy V was 2011.

I also thought that KSU had already announced Bama to be at the Sprint Center next year.  I know I have seen that in writing...not saying it couldn't be changed.

CBE 2010 is going to be awesome.  Definitely taking off work and saving up for booze.    I will be attending in my Cargo khakis.
