Did we fall out of the running for Chicken Knowles a while back?  I saw he commited to UH yesterday but haven't seen any mention of it here.

Don't think we were ever after Knowles, I could be wrong but I just don't remember it. FWIW, his final 4 were Missouri, Arkansas, Baylor, and of course Houston. REALLY big package deal pickup for the Cougars along with 5* Danuel House.

Upshaw confirms he'll be getting an in-home visit with KSU and the other 8 finalists on his list sometime during the Fall contact period. Also says he doesn't plan on making a final decision until the Spring:

"Upshaw indicated that he has in-home visits lined up with each of the nine schools that he is still considering which alphabetically are Arizona, Fresno State, Georgetown, Kansas State, Louisville, Maryland, Oklahoma State, UNLV, and USC.

"Everybody, all nine schools," he said. "Oklahoma State will be here on the 15th of September."

rough ridin' hate when people email me in purp font.  eyes don't like it.  Pretty much hate people that use color fonts in all cases except when trying to highlight something.

Not too surprisingly, doesn't look like KSU is in the race for DSR anymore. What is a surprise is that the update below infers that Georgetown is his leader. The thought from national mods and folks was that Xavier(who's still in it) or Michigan St. were atop his list, but it looks like MSU has backed off here.

http://basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1264651

Another note, not really related to KSU, sounds like ku paid a visit to Sunrise Christian's Buddy Hield the other day when they were in Wichita, word is they want him to wait until Spring to decide.

I'm telling ya, there's a gross lack of using our Bahamian resources here.

glad dalonte is continuing to mold up his role at maryland.  not even a maryland mention.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

Not an EMAW recruit, but AB Jr. to Illinois St.

ebosshoops Eric Bossi
"In a move that shouldn't be seen as surprising, Anthony Beane is headed to Illinois State. His father is one of Tim Jankovich's assistants."

Five-star 2012 forward Perry Ellis is in the middle of his in-home visits and hosted Kansas State on Monday evening in Wichita, Kan., for an extended session that lasted well after dark.

Sounds like the evening went really well. I'm optimistic.

Well, it sounds like somebody will be put out of their misery in the not too distant future:

CollegiateHoops DeAnte Mitchell
“@wildcatvictory: '12 basketball recruit Perry Ellis is expected to decide where he'll play college in 1-2 weeks. Will sign in November.”

What does it say?

Scout's Snow talked to Mokan's Suther:

- Cauley just finished in-home visits with Kentucky, Alabama, Florida, and KSU. These are the final 4 on his list and he will take official visits to all 4.

- All 4 are on level playing field right now, final decision will come down to the official visits to each school.

- Factors that could affect decision are interaction with team, facilities, and academics. Probably won't be 1 factor that is more important than the others, just the overall package.

- Plan is to sign early, almost guaranteed that he will.

- 1st scheduled trip is to Florida, no specific date given. Visit to Kentucky for their MM around Oct 15 has been set for awhile.

KSU Cat fans really need to show Cauley the love whenever his visit to KSU Cat land happens to be.
