Was Ellis in the house last night?

Thought I read that he and Cauley(SP) were both planning on attending   :dunno:

all of a sudden, cauley feels like an important recruit.

FWIW, I've been told by ONW faculty that he prefers K-State.  Not sure how reliable that is though. . .

FWIW, I've been told that he sucks and looks like hullabaloo so that would make sense.

I haven't really kept up on recruiting, but it seems that this is the class that will make or break us.  Am I correct?

I mean that season we should have (barring departures)

Sr. - McOrebs
Sr. - Russell
Sr. - Irving
Sr. - JO
Jr. - Spradling
Jr. - Southwell
So. - Williams
So.  - Gipson
So. - Angel

A pretty good corps of solid veterans, with a ton of experience. Typically the recipe for a lot of success it to have a bunch of guys like this and some really good young talent.  It seems like we have a shot at some really highly regarded players in the 2012 class as well.

Ellis and Cauley of course.  The Smart kid out of Texas, and Staten out Iowa are all also highly rated as Juniors.  We seem to have high interest on this Cortesia kid out of Maine.  Then there is a lost of other players also with interest from other big schools.

CAn someone fill me and others in on the current goings on with this really important class.  Also is Vic's brother in this class?
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

no.  as it stands now, there is only one 'ship to give.  even with additional defections, it will be a small class.  a one or two player class isn't going to make you or break you, no matter how good or bad the recruits are.

the big class, where they have to fill a ton of 'ships, is in 2013.

The projected roster for 2012-2013 is:

SR - Myles
SR - Russell
SR - Irving
SR - McGruder
SR - JHR
JR - Spradling
JR - Southwell
JR - Omari Lawrence (?)
SO - Rodriguez
SO - Gipson
SO - Diaz
SO - Williams
FR - Probably a big

Things that could change this outlook...

Jeremy Jones (JUCO transfer); most likely replaces a JR guard (Myles, Irving, or Russell).
Does Omari Lawrence get a scholarship?  If not, this probably goes to a big.
I assume Nino will get his redshirt
All of the guys have 'bought in' and won't transfer unless it's highly suggested.

Did not appear to be enjoying Manhattan.  Looked like he was taking a lazy crap most of the game.

Late in the second half, with the game on the floor well in hand, K-State students began to chant his name. It certainly got his attention.

"Per--ry Ell--is … "

An extended blink could have caused an onlooker to miss it, but a rare grin showed up nonetheless. It probably won't matter in the bigger picture, but, this weekend, the state's top-ranked 2012 recruit certainly felt wanted. Shortly after the buzzer sounded and his mother finished up photographing homemade "Perry Ellis" signs that surfaced in the student section, a return trip was set.

Good work, guys. We did it.

Next step, retiring 30.
