Braille
« on: December 07, 2010, 10:14:37 AM »
Books, I get. Blind people are able to read once somebody puts a book in their hand with the help of braille.

But why is there braille outside of rooms or offices? Are blind people supposed to walk along the walls? Seems to me like it would be incredibly difficult to spot these signs, and I could only imagine the disappointment of trying to find room 321 only to have the braille reveal to you that you're at 115.  :horrorsurprise:

remember in slumdog millionaire when they put the lye in the kids eyes to blind him.  then a couple of years go by and the kid sings a song for $100 and still recognizes jamal's voice in the tunnel thing?

no brail.

True story: I saw a blind woman give a speech last week.  I was impressed that she had memorized it, until I saw she had braille notes for the speech on the lectern.  Then I was like, "Yep, braille again."

Blind people, at least the ones I've come to know, are very aware.

You'll try to sneak up on them, and then ...  :peek:

Obviously your grandad is a huge fan of the game "name that tune."  Well, tell him to enjoy his song remembering championship.....I'll be over here robbing him blind using my eye.

It would be easier to rob a deaf man than a blind man.

Blind people are usually ugly, but that's probably for the best.

It would suck to be blind and beautiful and not be able to see what you look like.

Why don't they just raise normal letters for braille. That way people who aren't blind could read their books too.  I guess they just want to keep the club exclusive. :frown:

Meh, if you were blind, you basically increase your choices on getting laid a LOT... hell, you could nail the queen of england one night and Penelope Cruz the next and you might not notice (well, maybe the accent would give it away).

I see no positives in that statement.
