I don't see why we really have anything to worry about.  I mean, all of these season ending leg injuries to our wide receivers aren't a big deal.  These things heal up 110% all of the time, and they'll be back to better than 100% next season.

Sincerely,

 :powerespect:

Tuggle is a huge upgrade from Coffman. Please, just stfu.

Your standard are pretty low, friend.  Pretty low indeed.

And your's are pretty high. LHC Bill Snyder is our shazbot!ing coach. We aren't going to get 4 or 5 star QB's.

Tuggle and Cosh = Webb and Dunn.

Dunn was a 5 star recruit.  Cosh not a 5 star.

Dunn would have been very serviceable, if not good, in the right kind of system.

However, he couldn't have picked a worse one to be in than ours.  We completely wasted a pretty talented kid.  He would have thrived in an offensive scheme like OSU runs right now.

Hey Billy Cosh, you just set the Maryland state passing record, what are you going to do now?  "I'm going to separate both of my shoulders running dive after dive at KSU!"

Yeah, game breaking wide receivers in the prototypical NFL mold are a dime a dozen.  We're better off using the schollie on another fringe D1 JUCO DT.

Have you watched our team play the last 5 years???  We're probably the only team in D-1 football that actually needs another JUCO DT more than an NFL WR.

We could have had Randy Moss on the team this year and it wouldn't have translated to another win. Elite wide receivers make good teams great, but they don't do much for bad teams. This is really not a big loss. Kennard made the right choice.

Wow, looks like we narrowly avoided a TC infecting our program.  Good riddance, Kenntard!

To be flat out honest, and granted he didn't get a lot of looks today and he was playing a very good defense that eventually won the JUCO Championship this afternoon, I wasn't overly impressed with Marcus.
He lacks big burst off the line and doesn't necessarily blow by corners. He misread a few passes from Mettenberger too.
Most troubling was his attitude- flagged on a 3rd and goal for pushing his defender square in the chest after a ball sailed over his head and also blatantly walking out on the field during the final 30 seconds of play, standing at the hash marks, staring at the opposing sideline shaking his head. All this after he spiked his helmet and tossed the kicker's net down on the sideline.

Hey, I get it- you're upset you lost the championship. But wow, didn't look like a Snyder fit, emotionally speaking.

If he doesn't end up in purple, is it a shame? Yes because the talent is there and KSU saw that before anyone else. But by no means do fans need to lose sleep over a player I get the feeling many believe to be some type of Larry Fitzgerald.

Really sounds like the kind of wide receiver that can thrive under Mike Gundy, IMO.

I really look forward to our deep and talented secondary defending him on every play.

It was only time before the "he sucks", "no big loss" post rationalization would start to defend another major Snyder recruiting failure.

It's like a tard rite of passage.

He sounds like the college version of pro players Terrel Owens, Randy Moss, and that crazy dude from Cincinnati (Ochochino?). He seems to be a hot head and wants all the balls thrown his way...ie, the offense revolves around him or he pouts. Sure he has talent. But it looks like he has an attitude problem that comes with it...a package deal. He's gone. TNB

The common denominator between all of those guys?  Immense talent.

Look, I want Kennard because in the grand scheme of things, his biggest talent is stretching the field and catching the deep ball, regardless of how it's thrown.  Is he Justin Blackmon?  No.  Is he Dez Bryant?  No.  However, he is the kind of guy that you can toss out in the slot, run a post route against safety coverage, chuck up a jump ball and get a 30 yard gain.  6'4" guys with good speed and great hands don't grow on trees.

When KU's offense was humming under Reesing, this is what they did.  Go get tall kids with decent speed that could catch a jump ball in one-on-one coverage.  He would have given us three guys that could do that on the field at the same time (Smith, Kennard, and Harper).  It would have made the offense very difficult to stop because you could, at most, put six or seven in the box because you'd have to invest a man in one-on-one coverage with safety help over the top because of how good he is at catching the deep jump ball.  That would have been great because the traditional Snyder offense, and what we'll end up running with Tuggle (most likely) is chucking up a lot of deep balls that the WR needs to go up and get to keep the safeties off of the LOS so we can use an athletic QB to gash them in the running game.

This staff better hope Torrell Miller is now that guy because Tremaine Thompson doesn't give us this same weapon.

Don't do that.  Don't quote Bate and pretend like he represents that board.  Look, that board has turned into a raging dumpster fire over the past few years, but even all the tardiest Powertards know Bate's off his rocker.

Here's when losing Kennard won't be a big deal . . . WHEN and only WHEN 2 very high quality Juco DT's sign on the line that is dotted, that will be in school and in camp ready to play football this fall . . . until that happens, it's a huge deal . . . and NO, 2 DT's that no one has ever heard of, that each show an offer from South Dakota School of the Mines, who need 48 hours of A in every core course under the sun just to get to campus do not count.
